Expansive lakeside deck and covered patio overlook the lake. This two story home includes 4 bedrooms + loft, 2 baths. The lot features mature maples, oaks, pines and is shaded most of the day – sun is lakeside on the beach and dock. Perfect vacation home features a beach with chairs, dock, paddle boat, a large deck with grill, a swing with a view and a fire pit for the evening. Stay on Heart Lake just 15 minutes from downtown Gaylord shopping, golf several championship golf courses within 15 miles including: Otsego Club, Treetops Resort, Michaywe / Pines, Black Forest / Wilderness and The Lake and The Loon.

The beach has 88-feet of sand frontage and great swimming, with a dock. The lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Michigan !! There are no weeds, there is plenty of sand and the water is about 4 feet deep at 50 feet from shore. The lake is deep (135' in center) and is an all sports lake with “quiet times” from 7:30 pm to 11:00 am in which there is no high speed boating – a real advantage for a quiet evening to cruise around the lake, for the fishermen and to enjoy the sunset in peace and quiet. Boating, fishing, jet skiing, sailing, white sand beach, clean water – it is all there at your front door. From lake deck, you can enjoy cooking and eating your meals at the lakeside and be a part of the beach scene while being in the shade – or you can enjoy the sun on the beach or the dock. Heart Lake is the perfect location for families with kids, boat, jet skis, fishermen, golfers, skiers, snow boarders, snowmobiles, hunters, bicycles, canoes, kayaks, hikers, bird watchers and more.

Ski: Winter guests are just minutes from Treetops, Otsego Club and Boyne resorts that includes downhill skiing / snow boarding and cross-country skiing. Visit the Dan Webster or the Alphorn Sport Shop in Downtown Gaylord and rent snow shoes or cross-country skis to enjoy the winter to the fullest.

Great property-bad security deposit

We very much enjoyed our time at the cottage however, it took almost 6 weeks to get my $500 security deposit returned and that was only after multiple emails and phone calls. Very frustrating.
Owner's Response: Thank you for information. According to our records, the deposit was mailed about 20 days after the rental. But I am sorry that it took so long to reach you-- we occasionally do have problems with the mail coming out of Florida.

We work very hard to keep our renters pleased, but we will work in the future to get any future rental deposits back to our renters right after checkout and inspection. Thanks again for your input. RLM

January 2009 -- We now take a Credit Card Damage Deposit to prevent such mail problems in the future. All Damage Deposits are credited back to your Credit Card shortly after checkout and inspection (usually within 1 to 5 days of you leaving) assuming no damage.
