Lakefront House with Dock, Hot tub (new), Pool table, Canoe - Sleeps up to 12

had an awesome weekend at this house. everything was clean and as described. the owners left a very meticulous binder with clear instructions for everything (very well thought out...answered any and all questions we had and never had to call the owners during our trip once).

we had 12 guys and we weren't cramped at all. the deck and the bbq grill were perfect and the setup of the house promotes a very relaxing, social atmosphere. the downstairs area with the pool table and air hockey table was very spacious. the view of the lake is amazing and while it was a little too cold for us to enjoy any water activities, i'd imagine that would be pretty fun. even still, just sitting by the lake with the cool breeze and soaking up the sun was a nice way to relax.

location is pretty good too as it's close to a lot of activities (we did trap shooting at the pocono manor)..it's in a safe private community which has other amenities, but we didn't really use that stuff so can't really comment on it.

i guess the only nitpicky thing i could point out was that the tv was old and small? this wasn't a problem for us since we didn't go all the way to the mountains to watch tv all day....and the owner also said that they just bought a new flat screen for the place....so yea...can't really say anything negative about this house.

I rented Lisa and Jay's home as a gift for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We had everything we needed - it was right on the lake, the basement was great with the pool table, the hot tub was lovely, and there was plenty of room for everyone (there were 7 of us). Though it was too warm for skiing and too cold for swimming, we still had a blast. The property was clean and very well maintained. I have already recommended this place to friends who were thinking of a trip up to the Poconos. Lisa and Jay left plenty of directions and notes for anything and everything we might have needed, it was very helpful.

Just got back home from our first vacation trip to the Pocono Mountains. This was a wonderful relaxing vacation and the home by the lake was just what we were looking for. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out over the lake and watching the deer come right down through the yard to visit us. We took the canoe out on the lake and even caught some fish. It was so calm and enjoyable sitting on the lake in the evenings. The property is very nice and well equipped with everything you need. It is always a bit scary renting something you have never seen but this house is just like the pictures and maybe even better than the pictures. The new hot tub is wonderful! I actually had a chance to meet the owners, Lisa and Jay and they are very nice people who were extremely accommodating. I would not hesitate to rent from these people again. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.
P.S. My husband says if you are going to fish on this lake, use top water lures because there is alot of grass under the water. Good Luck!!
