In front is the expansive Flathead Lake with excellent fishing. On each side are quaking Aspens. In between are cherry and apple trees, an old red barn, ponds and beautiful Cherry Creek. Minutes away is Flathead Lake access at Yellow Bay State Park and charming Bigfork. Boat & kayak rentals and guided fly-fishing are nearby. Cherry Creek Retreat of Flathead Lake is off Highway 35 in Bigfork, Montana. It sits atop a hill providing spectacular lake and mountain views. A beautiful lake swimming and boat launch area is 3 miles down the highway at Yellow Bay State Park. The fishing on this lake is excellent. Other local attractions include the village of Bigfork, Wayfarer's State Park, Glacier National Park, Bob Marshall Wilderness, Jewell Basin hiking trails, Blacktail and Big Mountain Ski Resorts, Crane Mountain snowmobile trails, Mission Mountain Winery, Bigfork Summer Playhouse, art galleries and restaurants, Wood's Bay shore front restaurants and brewery, Eagle Bend, Big Mountain & Buffalo Hill golf clubs, Conrad Mansion Museum, University of Montana Biological Station and writer's workshops, Wild Horse Island Boat Trips, Flathead and Glacier Raft companies.   • House cleaning rates for groups 1-9: $140 10-16: $200, 17-22: $260
  • For larger groups there are three smaller cabins that sleep 10, making total sleeping capacity 22.

    Overflow Cabin Rates: (Rates are based on 1 week or portion thereof): Cabin with living room that sleeps 4 is $295. Cabin with kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom for 2 is $375/week. Loft unit that sleeps 4 is $195/week. Refundable security deposit is $500 for rental of log home. Larger groups will be asked to leave a larger security deposit.
  • SPECIAL EVENT RATES: If you are renting the property for a week, you may use it for a special event for max. of 60 people outdoors one time during rental week. Tables, chairs, clothes, buffet equipment, gazebo can be rented and set up. We have had beautiful weddings and receptions on the property. Rates vary depending on number of people and equipment used.

Bedroom 4 is an open loft with spectacular views in all directions, walk out deck and high open beamed ceilings. Bed 5 is a 'kid's loft' with log railing and log ladder. There is also a better quality futon with a Simons queen mattress in the family room. Sleeping in log home is for 12.

Notes: The living room is part of the Great Room which flows into the dining area and a large wrap around deck. On the deck are two tables including a large hand crafted farm table to sit 12. This table may be moved indoors for large groups. Chairs can be moved about so that seating capacity in any of these areas is expanded. On the first floor is a large room with television, stereo, games, futon-sofa, another sofa and kitchenette. There is also outdoor seating in different locations including at picnic tables and around a fire pit.

Pictures and Rental Information: This land has been in our family for 30 years and the small cabins on it have been fun to stay in for our vacations. After much planning, we have now built our dream retirement home but cannot move in it yet so we have put it on the vacation rental market. Each season has its own beauty. Spring time has cherry blossoms and lilacs, Summer the slow, beautiful sunsets, Fall the golden leaves and Tamarak trees. The scenery is breathtaking, even spiritual. You will love it. ALLEGIANT AIR NOW FLIES DIRECTLY (& INEXPENSIVELY) FROM LOS ANGELES TO MISSOULA AND FROM LAS VEGAS TO KALISPELL.

Great home less then 10 miles south of Bigfork, a quaint town on Flathead. Home is relatively new, in very good condition with full amenities as listed. Four bedrooms allow large group to spread out. Wonderful lot proximate to US35, just a few miles to local beach (Yellow Bay) and with its own orchard trees and ponds. No A/C (which is fine in Montana) and no cable, but otherwise everything you'd need.

Loved this place!

This place is so cozy and comfy! We just loved staying there. The kitchen was great for cooking up nice dinners, and there was fresh fruit to pick in the yard. The bedding was comfortable and we loved sitting by the gas stove. The only drawback was no TV downstairs (the only other TV's were upstairs in the sleeping area). We would definitely stay again.

The description of this property is extremely accurate and all the amenities listed were included in the house. The house also had a crib, high chair and safety gates which were so useful with our one year daughter.The house was very clean and well maintained. The house does not have air conditioning in all the rooms but it was really only needed on one very hot night. The view of Flathead Lake as well as the views of the rest of the property are beautiful. Cherry Creek Retreat was even more impressive in person than the pictures and descriptions online. This house was perfect for our family vacation in July. Kayaking and boating on the lake and hiking and exploring trips to Glacier National Park are great ways to spend your days. I would love to go back and would definitely rent this house again.

Cherry Creek Retreat was just the best location for our long awaited family reunion. Everything was in order and exactly as described on the web page.
The property manager was very friendly and welcoming and was available for any questions.
I would most heartily recommend this beautiful log home for anyone who especially enjoys winter and snow. We just loved our week here and hope we can do it again sometime in the future.

Luxurious Mountain/Lake Oasis

If anything, this property is more spectacular than advertised! The new log home is spacious and contains every possible amenity. Its cathedral ceilings, the jazccuzi in the downstairs bathroom, the beautiful painting on the exterior of the upper level antique, footed bathtub, the balconies on three sides and all levels -- these are some of the extras one cannot fully appreciate from the photos that are provided.

Truly, the enormous 8-foot deep mid-level balconies and generous-sized windows and sliding glass doors provide close-up, inspirational views of Flathead Lake while dining either indoors or outdoors, or while simply relaxing and dreaming.

This is a great house that seems considerably larger than its 2,300 square feet. It's a wonderful place to spend a week!
