Attention Boaters, Fisherman, Families! Burt Lake near Indian River, MI is known for its walleye and other great fishing. This duplex is located on beautiful Burt Lake in Indian River just minutes from Petosky, Gaylord, Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island. Burt Lake is a pristine, clear lake that is a part of the Inland Waterway of Crooked Lake, Indian River, Mullett Lake and the Cheybogan River. The resort is a great location for families. The property has 300 feet of shared frontage, a large grassy area for children to run and play and a shallow area to swim. The association also features a swing set, basketball hoop, volleyball net, fire pit and fish cleaning shed. This fully furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath has a beautiful deck that has the best sunset views over the lake. The living room has one sleeper sofa for an extra guest or two.

Nearby cities and additional information: • Petosky, Gaylord, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island and the UP are each 30 minutes away.

• Traverse City is an hour.

• Inland Waterway - goes from Crooked Lake, through Burt and Mullett Lakes to Cheboygan out to Lake Huron

A shared renter's dock is available for boats under 20' on a first come basis. One buoy is available per cottage for larger boats or jet skis, etc.

Limitations: This is a non-smoking unit.

Pets are Not allowed in the resort.

Tents and campers are not allowed in the common areas of the resort.

Additional Information: Cottage comes supplied with all dishes, pots and pans. silverware, stove, refrigerator, microwave, VCR, television, picnic table, gas barbeque grill, deck chairs.

Renter supplies bed linens and towels.

Beautiful area

The rental was very nice. A little crowded with 6 people staying there. Neighbors very friendly and helpful with activities in the area. Wish there was more of a television station selection but we did not stay in the cottage much anyway. For the price it was a great value. Looking forward to staying there again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Althought the weather was just plain lousy for my vacation the cottage was nice. Since the weather was so bad and we spent more time in the cottage than normal, it would have been nice to have a better selection of TV channels.
Recommended for:  Age 55+
Owner's Response: With all of the outside activities available in the Burt Lake, Petosky and Mackinaw City areas during the summer, we have not been asked for better TV service before. Although cable TV is not available in our area, we do plan to have a new TV and digital service in place by the beginning of 2009.
