Great views, Decent Place

Nantahala is a lot of fun. We went rafting twice, did some hiking, sat around the campfire, did a little swimming and some fishing. There's a lot to do that's very convenient (10 - 30 minute drive) to the property.
It's an older mobile home that has been redone. The place is fine, it looks good the larger bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, but the smaller bedroom has a rather uncomfortable double bed. It's probably great for a family on a budget, but not the best for 2 couples. The views from the deck are great and it has a firepit. Alex (the owner) is very pleasant to talk to and said that next year they were going to put in a hot tub.
It's way up on a hill and the 2 ways up are not for the faint of heart. You definitely could not get a sports car up there. It is within an easy walk to a local restaurant where they rent pontoon boats and a small beach, and you can get down to the lake at several different places that are a short walk.
For the value I would recommend this property to a friend, but keep in mind it is an older trailer and isn't the greatest. It is clean though. The furniture is inexpensive and not the most comfortable. It has a TV and a VCR, but we didn't get any channels. We didn't try too hard. All in all, I think we'd go back if we were trying to save money on lodging.

Owner's Response: It's a king size, brand new Spring Air bed in the master bedroom. We have a great stair steps to the lower road/trail to the lake. For us it's an easy walk to our lake shore. We have a regular 1994 Dodge that makes it up to our place very easily! There is a 5 person hot tub on the deck now! It's THE best deal in the mountians for a lake rental vacation!!!
