Enjoy a mountain view as well as privacy and creek with mini waterfall while relaxing in a rocker under a covered wraparound porch at Joey's Creekside Cabin in a 4000' elevation in the Great Smoky mountains in Western North Carolina. This cabin overlooks a lush meadow with flowering trees adding to the ambiance of the view. The charming Northwestern decor features an open concept displaying pine walls, wooden floors, vaulted ceilings, skylights, and massive stone fireplace from floor to ceiling. The attractive kitchen is fully equipped. Each of the bedrooms offers its own unique decor and the bath features a Jacuzzi tub. Satellite TV, VCR, DVD, all linens, washer, dryer, iron, grill, picnic table, books, and games are provided for your visit. Fish in the stocked trout creek next to the cabin, golf 18 holes at Smoky Mtn. Country Club 5 min. away, or hike in the National Forest 5 min. away. Visit the casino or Sm. Mtn. National Park nearby.

This area, Swain County, North Carolina is one of the most pristine areas of the United States. 87% of Swain County is National Forest Lands including the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, located only 10-15 minutes from this cabin. You are on a trout creek in the mountains with a beautiful view. Take a jaunt down the mountain and 3 minutes away is The Smoky Mountain Country Club featuring 18 breathtaking multi elevation holes, fitness center, and renowned Oaks Restaurant. Five minutes up the mountain, you can hike, horseback ride, or bike in National Forest Lands. Joey's Creekside Cabin is also 10-15 minutes from Harrah's Casino, river fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, and tubing where Olympic contenders train in the summer. You can also take the Great Smoky Mtn. Railway across the Lake Fontana Trestle or shop for local antiques, arts, or crafts. One hour away is the Biltmore House, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg, with outlet shopping, and recreational activities for everyone.

Golfing, hiking, scenery 5 minutes away....: Drop a line in the stocked creek for rainbow trout next to the cabin. Follow the creek down the easily accessible road and you are five minutes from the Smoky mountain Country Club with 18 holes and breathtaking views. The fitness center and acclaimed restaurant are open to the public. Follow the creek up the mountain and you are five minutes from National Forest Lands which offer biking and hiking opportunities. Follow the creek down the hill and around the bend to the split rail fencing and in less than 2,500 paces, you will come upon Chester's Creekside Cabin (also accommodating 6 in a party).

10 minutes away: You can travel the most scenic park east of the Mississippi River....Smoky Mountain National Park with every turn offering a majestic view. You can walk through Harrah's Casino or take a chance on gambling there. Antiquing and other shopping opportunities are nearby. Raft in the Nantahala Gorge which is the most popular rafting site in the eastern part of the U.S., only 15 minutes from the cabin.

Joey's Creekside Cabin

My son, his wife, my granddaughter and I wanted a quiet getaway in the mountains in a cabin that provided all we needed and that is exactly what we got. The cabin is clean, well kept and attractive. The kitchen was "fully" equiped with the exception of a dish washer, but doing the dishes manually was no problem.

We visited Cherokee and had a couple of very nice days walking among the varied shops and enjoying the great weather.

One could not ask for better service than we received from the owners, Chet and Jacqueline.

I plan a return visit to Cherokee and hope that when I do Joey's Creekside Cabin is available.

I would recommend Joey's Creekside cabin to anyone interested in a quiet rural setting with great vistas.

Beautiful Cabin... Beautiful Views...

My husband and I were here in Oct. and it is a wonderful place ... the cabin is gorgeous, the pictures don't do it justice..it has any and every thing that anyone could want or need... the gas fireplace is so cozy .... the rockers on the front porch are a wonderful bonus...the owners are great and the correspondence with them was easy and professional.... I would highly recommend it ... you will have as great a vacation as we did...
