Classic Provincetown Sea Captain's house (c.1860) located on the corner of West Vine and Commercial Street in the heart of the West End. Walk to the center of town, take a short bike ride to Herring Cove Beach or walk across the street to the beach along Provincetown Harbor, this is the spot! Bring your bike and hit the trails starting at Herring Cove or walk to Flyer's and rent a kayak! Explore the harbor and Long Point, then paddle right up to the beach in front of the house. Kids can learn sailing at the West End Racing Club or explore sea life at low tide. There are many options. The house is spacious with a large fully equipped gas kitchen that has direct water views of the harbor, large open living room and two bedrooms downstairs. Additional two bedrooms are upstairs. All beds are queen size. There is a deck in front of the house with seating overlooking picturesque Captain Jack's Wharf and the harbor along with a patio and seating for a quiet lunch in the garden.

40 miles of The National Seashore culminate at Provincetown which is located in one of the most beautiful natural settings in America. Within the boundaries of the Seashore, there are miles of undisturbed beaches, several historic lighthouses, nature trails, scenic areas and picnic spots. Provincetown was the first landing place for the Pilgrims in 1620 before heading across Cape Cod Bay to Plymouth. The town has a very rich cultural identity and is one of the nations earliest artist colonies. Charles Hawthorne established the Cape Cod School of Art in 1899 and later the Provincetown Art Association and Museum in 1914. Writers, playwrights, artists and 'showgirls' have all been inspired by the intellectual and open-minded spirit embraced and inspired by the community.

The original painting is located at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum at the University of Oklahoma. The house is also located next to the oldest house in Provincetown c. 1746 and the 'Octagon House'.

I have been going to Provincetown every summer for the last 25 years for my birthday. This summer was by far one of the very the most wonderful due in big part to this wonderful house.... The view, the ambiance.. just everything was great. Not too fancy just a wonderful beach house that makes you want to have great memories I recommend this house to everyone who wants to the real cape cod and ptown experience..... have a glass of wine on the porch and gaze over the water... I forgot to say that the house is clean and the interior is great etc etc... have a wonderful time

The owners were so easy to work with in securing this rental. The home is the perfect New England home. Aside from being very big and perfect for 8 of us it became a popular destination amongst our other friends for sitting on the front deck and looking out over the bay. Also it didn't feel like a rental with rules posted everywhere or "rental" furnishings. Intimate but not designed to death. A truly easy going beach home.

Also it was so easy to get to the center of town though also in the best and quietest neighborhood.

Everyone in our party was completely enchanted. We have already put our name in to rent this home next year.
