Villa In Chianti Region of Tuscany

The Villa actually exceeded expectations from the photos and website description. It is more beautiful then the photos show. The vistas are spectacular and the house fit me and my guests lifestyle to a T. Seven of us, 3 couples and 1 single enjoyed a wonderful week with spacious bedrooms with bathrooms inside 3 out of 4 of the bedrooms, a great living and dining room that made us all comfy and at the same time provided each of us the privacy needed. The patio/terrace was truly our favorite part. It is multi-leveled with several dining and seating options to take in a glass of wine and the beautiful scenery of mountains, vineyards, rolling country side and olive trees---absolutely spectacular. The kitchen is so inviting...we only ate out twice and cooked the other nights. We never wanted for any utensils or dishes, the kitchen is well stocked. The gardens and courtyards are immaculately maintained. The owner was very accomadating and prompt in his responses to all inquiries prior to our trip. The location is great, with a top notch winery within 3 miles and other smaller wineries close by. The village of Castellina in Chianti is so quaint and wonderful to bike ride through or just shop. My only complaint is 1 of the neighbors/owners were very rude and treated us like a pack of teenagers---we were all between 48 and 60 years old! The first night we were so excited to be there. We all gathered outside drinking wine, sharing munchies, stories about our journey from 3 countries to arrive at the Villa.... and we had Italian Classical Music playing on the outside terrace at 6:30 PM. The rude neighbor sceamed at us to turn the music down or off and a few other not so niceties. We were quite taken back as the music was not loud and it was very early in the evening. There were a few more issues during the week where they were rude to us as we greeted them or asked questions. We learned quickly to avoid them, as the rest of the neighbors/owners were quite pleasant, especially the English couple two doors down who entertained a lot and shared great restaurant and local information with us.
We have and will continue to recommended this location and Vlla to our friends who saw our pictures with their mouths open with envy.

MBG
