This classic Squam Lake Camp has charm to spare with its beautiful wooden interior, large dining area and beautiful front porch. The home also offers an upgraded kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, center island and serving window that opens to the dining area. A large gas grill is available in front of the porch. Located on Little Squam Lake with 200 feet of sandy beach and a huge front lawn. The sunset views are stunning from anywhere on the property. A dock space is provided along with a giant water trampoline. Walking distance to Holderness center with access to country stores and restaurants.
The Home: The house was one of the few architecturally designed homes in 1904. It was one of the first 2 homes located on the eastern end of Little Squam Lake. The house still stands on its original tree trunk supports, and offers rough sawn support timbers and classic knob and tube wiring. The front porch is a great place to sit and enjoy the views with friends and family - many parties and dinners have been hosted here. The newly refinished hardwood floors are made of red pine and create a warm and inviting environment.
The Property: The front lawn is an expansive carpet of green - ideal for playing sports or just sitting. Large 100 year old pines offer clean air and shade. A large fire pit is located at the front of the property with ample chairs and firewood to enjoy stories and smores. There are even a couple of interesting carved tree trunks that serve as fireside seating. The rear of the property is wooded and offers trails that connect to an old abandoned road (Pinemere road) from about 90 years ago. The original hand-dug well is still at the back of the property - fortunately, this has been supplanted by a drilled artesian well from which the property now draws its water. The driveway is shared with a smaller cottage at the rear of the property.
The Waterfront: The property is fronted on the eastern shore of Little Squam Lake with 200 feet of white sandy shorefront. Two sets of granite steps lead the way, one to the dock, and the other to a sitting and play area on the beach. The waters of the lake are crystal clear and full of aquatic life. You will experience sunsets as you have never seen before - get your cameras ready.
This is the NH lakes region at its best. Lots of quiet coves to explore. Beautiful views and sunsets. Excellent for water sports. Quaint towns of Holderness, Ashland and Plymouth nearby. Wonderful country stores and restaurants within walking distance.
Other Activities: Jumping Rock, Rope Swing, boating all out on the lake
