Camp Garoga is located in the foothills of the Adirondacks, and offers a great vantage point for exploring all of what upper New York state has to offer. This log cabin setting provides a comfortable place to settle in, with modern amenities but with the rustic charm that only a cabin can offer. We offer 112 private acres for walking, hiking, and exploring. There are numerous state hiking trails, and state forests for activities.

Peaceful, relaxing getaway

My husband and I stayed at Camp Garoga during the week of Aug.31. It was by far the best "getaway" we've had! The property is spotless, welcoming and comfortable. Everthing about it speaks relaxation. The Adirondack decour and accents made us feel right at home immediately. Sitting by the firepit every night, roasting marshmallows was absolutely wonderful! The peace of the surrounding woods added to our stressfree stay. The kitchen was well stocked w/all you need to prepare meals and all the furnishings throughout were very comfortable. Chris was a wonderful host, spending some time visiting w/us but allowing us plenty of privacy as well.
We climbed a few mountain trails in the area and walked thru the wooded trails in the back of the house. We shopped in Saratoga Springs and just had plenty of relaxation time.
Thank you Chris and Dan for providing such a wonderful vacation spot!
We will return in 2010!

Very Relaxing

I would have to say that once we arrived at the cabin, it was much more than I expected. The building was spotless, in perfect condition and very spacious.
The property owners were more than hospitable. They made our stay a very memorable experience.
We are planning to rent the cabin for another week next year. I would recommend this listing to anyone, who wants to get away from it all for a few days.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

A little slice of heaven

My husband and I needed to get away and truly relax from the hustle and bustle of our hectic lives and this place was perfect! Not only was it immaculately clean and adorably decorated, but Chris the owner made sure we always had everything we needed. He even built a fire for us! The cabin itself is just a picture-perfect north woods log cabin with very comfy beds and all the technology you'll need to stay connected, including WiFi and DirectTV. The location is great--right in the middle of many picturesque towns with hiking nearby. There is a great ice cream stand and a couple fun pubs within a few minute's drive. Overall, a fantastic experience and we were sad when we had to leave!

Back Again!

&#40;from our guest journal, a recent returning guest wrote...&#41; &quot;Jacob and I have now been to Camp Garoga 4 times. We have come to see this place like our own cabin in the woods. We had considered buying a cabin in the Adirondacks some time back, but was worried about the expenses. Once we found Camp Garoga, we decided that buying a cabin wasn&#39;t necessary. We already have one! We call when our schedule is open, and the place is waiting for us. A Winter Wonderland!

&quot;Our favorite adventures were enjoying a good book curled up next to the fire! Great skiing at Lapland Lake. We loved Lanzi&#39;s on the Lake for dinner, and breakfast at the Peaceful Valley Maple Farms. Thanks Chris and Dan...you truly went out of your way to make our week here cozy and comfortable.&quot;
