Great 4 BR, 2 bath waterfront home in Wareham, Mass, close to charming village of Onset. The house faces South on a private cove on Buzzards bay, with its own dock. It is very quiet and private, with only one neighbor. The other side is conservation land with a little private beach. The centerpiece of the house is a wrap around second floor deck, with stairs to the lawn, which affords water views and breezes (this deck was expanded, this spring: it does not show on the pictures...).. The living room and DR; kitchen and Master BR all open up to the 2nd floor deck, with views of the cove and bay. A second bed room and 1 full bath room are on that floor. 2 more bedrooms and a second full bath room are on the first floor. Great sailing, windsurfing, fishing, shell fishing (permit), sand playing (beach and private sandlot), mountain biking on conservation land.

The house is located at the very top of Buzzards bay, on a cove protected by a barrier island, with lots of conservation land around. Onset village 2 miles away: Shopping and music festivals and outdoor movie nights (free)in nearby (2 miles) . Easy access to Cape Cod (5 miles away) and the islands (Martha's vineyard, Nantucket) Ferries 20 minutes away at Falmouth and New Bedford. Very nice museum with fantastic impressionists in Providence, RI (25 mins) and museum of whaling history (New Bedford) . And of course Boston 50 min away without having to cross a bridge...   • Weekly rental, $2595 per summer week. $500 discount for any 2-week summer period and free mid rental cleaning and change of sheets / linens.

Activities on-site: This house is really for enjoying outdoors with your family. First and foremost, you have your own waterfront with floating dock and a little private beach adjacent to the property - swimming, shell fishing, beach combing and all nautical sports are great. Within 100 hundred yards wading at low tide; and 1/2 mile at high tide, public beach and coastal dunes. Soccer, croquet, beach chair lounging etc on the lawn. Great sailing, windsurfing, fishing, right off the lawn (there is a thermal wind that kicks in almost every afternoon). For the windsurfing enthusiast, this is on the fabled little harbor beach, now closed to non residents. Great kayaking right off the lawn. Shell fishing (permit required), sand playing (beach and your own sandlot), mountain biking and hiking on conservation land. Excellent birding for waterbirds and for forest birds on almost adjacent conservation land.

Activities off-site: Private beach adjacent to property; and public beach 1/2 mile by car, or 100 hundred yards by foot. Golfing nearby 1/2mile to executive par 3 course. 3 miles to local country club with full 18 hole course. Victorian village of Onset 2 miles (dining, shopping, beach, marina, various summer festivals, outdoor movies). See our website below for info. Great summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen, part of the Cape Cod league (free), which welcomes the top college players / future MLB players in the nation. See schedule via website below. Cape Cod 5 miles away. Museums and historic sites in New Bedford (whaling) and Providence (fine arts at Rhode island School of Design - great impressionists, several Monet's). Boston 50 minutes away and no bridge traffic.... Foxboro 35 minutes away for those Patriot exhibition games....
