Runaway Haven is located on secluded North Captiva Island, a barrier island approximately 17 miles North West of Ft. Meyers, Florida and accessible only by private boat, water Taxi or private airplane. The island is 3 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. The north half of the island contains private homes while the southern half is a State wildlife preserve. Transportation on the island is by golf carts The island is known for world famous shelling and fishing. The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach house located adjacent to the airstrip and approximately 300 ft. from the gulf beaches. Observation decks above the house provide 360 degree views of the island and beaches with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The house is fully furnished for your enjoyment and relaxation. Rental of the house also includes runway usage access, golf cart and access to the North Captiva Island Club Resort, with its 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, exercise room, restaurant and store.

North Captiva Island is one of the few bridge-less barrier islands on Florida's gulf coast. Since access is limited to private boat, water taxi or private airplane, the island has maintained its natural beauty. There are no cars on the island, transportation is by golf cart, bicycle or foot. All roads are narrow dirt roads which help maintain the tropical and unspoiled beauty of the Island where wildlife abounds. The Beaches are secluded, uncluttered and are world famous for shelling and fishing and beautiful sunsets.
