Playacar Reef & Beach Club - Details: The Reef Club is a beautiful private beach club that is available for members & guests staying in Playacar. For free, you can choose to enjoy the pools, white sand beaches (lots of palapas for shade & lounge chairs) and the many pool activities. Take a small cooler (provided) for food/drinks. If you prefer, you may choose to do an 'All Inclusive Day'. This means unlimited food & drinks (alcohol or non). There is a buffet restaurant plus a more casual pool-side snack bar w/hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, fries/chips, etc. The All Inclusive price is approx $40 USD for adults and $20 for children, with discounts for multi-day passes. NOTE: Except for all-inclusive hotels, nearly all beaches in Playa are public. Aong the beaches there are casual snack bars & restaurants. So you can choose to take your own cooler or buy food & drinks (including alcohol) at the beach. Mamitas & KOOL are 2 popular locations w/food & drinks as well as lounges & umbrellas for rent.

Area Attractions: Cozumel (ferry departs Playa del Carmen hourly), the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Xel-Ha water park, Xcarat, Xaman Ha Bird Aviary, and much much more! A car is not necessary in Playa, as taxis are quite safe & inexpensive. Playa is a small town and you can walk thru-out downtown and to the beaches. For fun, you might want to rent a bicycle or motor-scooter. Hertz rents scotters with helmets for about $12 USD / day. We have lots more photos. Your money goes further in Mexico ! : Stretch your vacation dollars / euros / pounds! Playa del Carmen is a jewel on the Caribbean sea. This is a relaxed, multi-cultural small beach town - close in distance but far different from Cancun. A laid-back place with an incredible number of dining choices, eco-tourism activities, shopping and of course, the soft-white-sand & turquoise-water beaches. Sit under a huge palapa, drink your umbrella drinks and forget the stress you left behind. Cozumel lies just off the coast of Playa and is easily accessible by ferry.

Our stay at Villa Alegria was wonderful!! The Villa is located in a tranquil residential area away from the busy downtown area of Playa del Carmen. We had all the amenities of being at home while on vacation. It was a perfect place for our family of five. We used taxis to transport us near and far and did not have to deal with driving and parking, which was great. We found the taxis to be courteous and economical. (50 pesos to get to the center of town or to the nearest grocery store. which is less than $5) We used the Reef club two full days and purchased an all inclusive pass, which we found to be worthwhile for our family, two meals and unlimited drinks all day! Activities abound in the area and in a week's time we managed to visit Chichen Itza, Cozumel, Islas Mujeres (a personal favorite) and XCaret, which was a delightful surprise and the kids particularly enjoyed swimming with the dolphins). Definitely stay for the the night show, it was fabulous. Tickets are pricey, but worth the experience, especially with kids... (Ours range in age from 19-12) All around a fun and relaxing vacation! Thanks you for sharing your lovely home!

We spent Xmas and New Years, what a great time. The condo was perfect. Everything was exactly as shown. Playacar, where the condo is located, is a small city in itself. There is alot to do, yet the excitment of downtown Playa Del Carmen is right outside the gate. The beaches are wonderful, especially in Tulum where they are unspoiled. We never ran out of things to do in Mexico and we will certainly be back.

Beautiful Villa!

I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Alegria. The Villa was clean, comfortable, and the pool in the backyard was perfect for laying out in the sun. I especially loved the kitchen and the nights that we didn't want to go out we would BBQ on the grill outside. Taxi's were abundant and we never had problems getting from the Villa to the Reef club...which was very nice as well. I miss the beautiful beaches already!

Villa Allegria was beautifully presented which exceeded our expectations on arrival. It was fresh & clean and well-maintained. We were central to most everything and found no hassle with catching a taxi from the front of the Villa within 5 min. The owner was amazing and a wealth of knowledge who provided everything we needed from the word "GO". The information (FAQ sheet) also really helped us being "first timers" to Mexico.
Without a doubt we will go back again!

The Villa exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean and well-maintained; No detail was left out. All the amenties were provided. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and provided accurate, useful information (FAQ sheet). Definitely recommended!! Our stay was excellent - couldn't have asked for better.
