This house is located one block from Acadia National Park's Bar Island. Bar Island sits at the end of Bridge Street in the Heart of Bar Harbor. At low tide you can walk all the way across to Bar Island, stopping to explore the many tidal pools. There is a short hike to the top where you can look back and take in the view of Bar Harbor. After your stroll across to Bar Island you can come back and relax on the large open porch. Even better is a well deserved nap on the full sized glider.

A restful week or one filled with high energy adventure -- The choice is yours!

Golf: The Kebo Valley Golf Course is nearby & open to the public. It is one of America's oldest courses - and one of the most beautiful.

Other Activities: Whale Watching, Sight Seeing Tours, Trolley Tours, Sand Bar, fishing pier

Very Convenient!

We had a great time in the "Summer House". The location is great for walking through Bar Harbor and you can get to the town pier in 5 minutes. Two blocks away you can walk (at low tide) across the sand bar to Bar Harbor Island. Our daughters enjoyed find mussels, snails, and shells at low tide.
The owner is excellent to work with too!
We would definitely recommend the "Summer House" to anyone visiting Bar Harbor.
