We do a Sunday to Sunday rental because of the ease of traffic. The on-season rate is $2,500.00 and a 50% deposit is required to secure the property. The off-season rate is $2,200.00 and a 50% deposit is required to secure the property. There is also a $150.00 refundable, cleaning deposit, in cash, required upon arrival and will be returned provided property is left in the same general condition as upon arrival.
We supply all house towels and linens. My wife and I clean the house between each rental and use only environmentally-friendly-products (essential oils and vinegar) and the home is powered by a 5kWh solar array. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our home and there are hardwood floors throughout the house with a few area rugs, making our home as allergen free as possible.
Our rental home is located at 12 First Light Lane in Truro. We have a stunning view of Cape Cod Bay and capture the Cape’s summer breeze from many directions. My wife does all the landscaping and she wrapped the front of the house in Niko Blue hydrangeas. They are very beautiful all summer long.
Here is additional information about the house. We are at the highest point on a private road and a stone driveway leads to the house. As you proceed to the front of the home there is a large stainless steel grill on a stone patio and the main deck hosts a large slate picnic table. Around the back of the house is a clothesline for sheets and beach towels; there is a private outdoor shower with hot/cold water along with a screened in porch – perfect for a quick bowl of cereal and viewing the many colorful plantings and birds in the early morning.
The first floor of the house has a dining room, which can accommodate 6-7 comfortably. Adjacent to the dining room is the kitchen with gas range and electric convection oven. There is a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, et cetera...my wife is an amazing chef and has fully stocked the kitchen with everything down to the spices. There will be a large binder on the counter, which has all of the summer event schedules and most local restaurant menus. Beyond the kitchen is the first-floor bedroom, which hosts a full-size bed. There is a bathroom, which services that bedroom, and it has a stand-up shower. To the left of the bedroom is a spacious living room that is open to above. In the living room are large bay windows that frame the wonderful view of Cape Cod Bay and Cornhill. In the evening, pull down the 7' X 7' movie screen and choose from over 100 DVD titles in our library collection or hook up your computer to any online streaming device and crank up the surround sound!! ;-) Cinema style.
Second floor, upstairs, there are two bedrooms. First is the 'Highland Room' which has a view of Highland Lighthouse's beam at night, you can see the light flashing in the distance. There are two twin beds and a twin futon; the twin beds can be locked together to make a king-size bed. There is also an X-box for the kids with a few child appropriate games. The other bedroom or 'Cornhill Room' has an amazing view of Cornhill and Cape Cod bay. Get up at the crack of dawn to catch a glimpse from the cantilever porch of deer, fox, coyote, turkey, hawk and the many colorful birds that frequently visit our neighborhood. The upper bathroom services both bedrooms and has a tub/shower combination. In the basement there is a front-loading washer/dryer and ironing board with iron.
My wife and I are on the premises during the summer and reside in a private in-law apartment attached to one corner of the house. We have our own separate entrance from the main house. If anything should go wrong, we are there and can provide you with assistance. We have been renting successfully since 2003 and have built many lasting friendships. We pride ourselves on the many repeats we have each year.
