Starlight House Guest Lodge is a 2500 sq. foot privately owned waterfront home located in a quiet cove on Ellison Creek Reservoir just south of Daingerfield, Texas. Newly renovated and fully appointed you need only to bring yourself, your food and your water toys to enjoy a fun filled stay on the lake. Conveniently located less than one hour from historic Jefferson, 75 minutes from Shreveport, and 60 minutes from Tyler there are many area festivals and historical celebrations throughout the year to attend. Locally there is golf, shopping and movies. Water skiing, boating, jet skiing, wake-boarding, tubing, and swimming are all permitted on the lake. Build a campfire in our lakeside fire pit. Park your boat in our boat slip and relax on our private pier, or take the stairs up to the sun deck to catch a few rays. Relaxation and fun is what it's all about when you stay at Starlight House. The gambling casinos of Shreveport/Bossier City are just a little over an hour away.

Notes: Due to the split level design of this home it may not be suitable for people who have difficulty walking up and down steps. Smoking is only allowed outside. The patio has a dining table with six chairs and there are also two picnic tables. There are several Adirondack chairs and love-seats as well as rocking chairs. We also have one long banquet table available.

It was a lovely setting. We were there the end of Dec. so could not do water sports, but enjoyed the dock and enjoyed the firepit where we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. We took walks in a great setting. The store was close enough to get whatever food we needed. Next time we will not pack all the food we did and just go to Daingerfield grocery and get it all. The house was nice and clean and spacious and had plenty of room to spread out. The fireplace in one of the living areas did not work and the hot tub did not work, but everything else worked. One of the bathrooms was quite chilly. There were plenty of clean towels and dishes and pots and pans. All the bedding was clean and fresh. We rate this house as GREAT and recommend it!!! We liked the fact that there was ice in the freezer for us to use to help keep all the leftovers on the day we left, also!

We recently stayed for a weekend and had a wonderful time. There was 10 of us and plenty of room. It was everything I hoped for and more. I would definitely reccomend staying at the Starlight House to anyone I know. We felt very at home and it was so spacious. I made all the arrangements and when we got there everyone kept saying I did a good job finding this place. So not only did I think it was a great place, everyone else did too. The only thing we were disappointed about was having to leave.
