I have stayed at 8 Ahab for several years now and I have found it to be the perfect vacation spot for me. The house has always been clean and just the right size. The bedrooms are split and give me privacy from others in the house. I love the huge back yard and spend quiet times laying in the hammock listening to the waves breaking in the distance. I can count on reading at least one book while I am at the house and many of the hours reading are spent on the big deck off the bedroom.The owner has had excellent customer relations and I have counted on her to keep me informed throughout the year on dates, and little things that I will need to know to make the vacation the best. I have had and not had a car on Island and it has been OK either way. I walk daily to the beach and sit on a ledge meditating. Several days I walk over to Bartlett Farms and pick up fresh vegatables to keep my diet healthy as well as delicious. Of course, I make it downtown several times during my stay and love the shopping. I must learn to stay away from the Purple Ralph Lauren store. It's killer! 8 Ahab has been and will continue to be a great place for me to enjoy the island and not get overwhelmed.
