Location, Location, Location!!!

This home provides: A large open living area with cable TV, board games and books; a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with cathedral ceilings and tons of sunlight; a master suite with a private bath with jacuzzi, shower and twin sinks, and two twin bedrooms on the other side of the house that share a bath. Outside is a large private deck, with dining table and lounge chairs to make for easy outdoor living. The enclosed outdoor shower is a delight! The large backyard is great for kids and for simple relaxation on hammocks!

Set in a semi-secluded quiet area, on OVER A HALF ACRE, you will sleep to the sound of crashing waves and a pleasant breeze with an unsurpassed brightness of evening stars. The beach is a surfing beach and a pleasant walk away. This is one of the most desired locations to be on Island. You can't beat being down the street from one of the BEST beaches on island, the Cisco Brewery, fish market, and of course Bartlett Farm!

Walk to Beach: You can't find a better location; It is a great family vacation area. The beach is within walking distance and is one of the finest on Nantucket. The home is very clean and comfortable.

Take reservations as early as one year in advance!: If you have enjoyed your stay here in Cisco, or we do not have your desired vacation weeks open, please let us know and we will reserve them for you ahead of time for the following summer! Plan your vacations ahead!

Cancelations: There is no cancellation provision in our lease agreement. If an emergency precludes use, we will make best effort to re-rent at the same rate and, if successful, the renter will receive a refund, less a cancellation fee of 10 percent of the gross rental. If the period cannot be re-rented, the entire rent shall be payable and forfeited.

The place for a family vacation! A long term guest writes ' The beach is a 1 minute drive - under 10 minute walk from the house. Usually my husband and kids bike over and I drive over carry all the beach paraphernalia! We travel heavy - cooler, chairs, umbrella and so on don't fit very well on a bike. It is a great wide beach with nice surf most days but also great for swimming. Bartlett Farm which is a great overgrown farm stand is a minute the other way, and there is also a wonderful place to buy seafood on the way to Bartlett's. You never have to go in to town unless you want to. With 2 kids, I like that the Master bedroom side has a door that closes off the wing - my kids can get up and grab a bite to eat without waking me up! My husband is up and about going for a run or a bike ride by the time they get up. At the back of the house is a deck that runs the full width between the master and back bedroom. It a very airy light filled house, and very quiet, comfortable and peaceful.

Charming Cisco Cottage

8 Ahab is a charming Nantucket cottage that feels like home. I have spent the past five years vacationing at this house, and I can’t imagine not returning. It is a great place for families of all ages, entertaining, or simply relaxing. I love spending time outside on the back deck, barbecuing, and I always enjoy the hammock. The house is always well kept and clean. The sheets and towels are always new and fresh, and the layout of the cottage is perfect. There is an out-door shower, lounge chairs, beach chairs, towels, coolers, and everything for trips to the beach, etc. The beach is just a walk down the road, it's wonderful. Also close by is the Cisco Brewery, fish market, and Bartlett Farm. This summer was amazing, and we can’t wait till next year!

I have stayed at 8 Ahab for several years now and I have found it to be the perfect vacation spot for me. The house has always been clean and just the right size. The bedrooms are split and give me privacy from others in the house. I love the huge back yard and spend quiet times laying in the hammock listening to the waves breaking in the distance. I can count on reading at least one book while I am at the house and many of the hours reading are spent on the big deck off the bedroom.The owner has had excellent customer relations and I have counted on her to keep me informed throughout the year on dates, and little things that I will need to know to make the vacation the best. I have had and not had a car on Island and it has been OK either way. I walk daily to the beach and sit on a ledge meditating. Several days I walk over to Bartlett Farms and pick up fresh vegatables to keep my diet healthy as well as delicious. Of course, I make it downtown several times during my stay and love the shopping. I must learn to stay away from the Purple Ralph Lauren store. It's killer! 8 Ahab has been and will continue to be a great place for me to enjoy the island and not get overwhelmed.
