FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
DO YOU HAVE WATER ACCESS? No, we do not have waterfront property. Yet the ocean breezes and sounds of the gulls following the lobster boats in the cove can fool you. It is fair to say we have the most spectacular views of the water...better than our lower level neighbors.
IS IT QUIET? Yes, it is very quiet. Our land abuts an old Maine cemetery. Sometimes there are visitors or they mow the grass and you can hear these brief sounds in the distance.
CAN PETS OR CHILDREN PLAY OUTSIDE? We own 10 acres and are situated at the end of a long private driveway. It is quite safe for pets and kids to be outside.
HOW FAR ARE YOU FROM BAR HARBOR? We suggest that folks look at a Google map. But if you can't ...it is about a 25-35 minute drive.
This home offers you everything. Wonderful peace and quiet to meditate, read all those good books, make a fresh seafood meal and completely feel at ease. AND a great base for all the amazing outdoor activities available on Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park.
You DO deserve a vacation.

We had a wonderful time...walked in the woods in shirt sleeves, walked in the snow...truly a Maine spring! Thank you for your welcoming home. We saw our son at U of Maine, relaxed,
did some work (in lovely surroundings) and got hooked on Maine just a little more.
One day we too may be permanent residents. Our poodle certainly is happy here!

We spent our honeymoon on MDI in 1978. Along with many treasured memories and places, we still discover brand new things to do and see and experience with each returning visit. What more is there to say? We really love it here and so will you.
Mount Desert Island is a truly magical place!

The First Eastern National Park
People have been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine throughout history. Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries donated the land that became Acadia National Park. The park is home to many plants and animals, and the tallest mountain on the U.S. Atlantic coast. Today visitors come to Acadia to hike granite peaks, bike historic carriage roads, or relax and enjoy the scenery.
