Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible Bed, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Our property is located 30' from the beach, 2nd from the ocean on 16th Street in N. Beach Haven. Very clean, quiet and well managed by ourselves, personally. Fantasy Island and Thundering Surf Waterslide are only 7 blocks away. Stefano's and Calabria restaurants are only two blocks away. There are many, many things to see and do within walking or bike-riding distance.

We personally inspect and attend to our property every Saturday during the rental season to insure cleanliness and a smooth changeover. We handle our own rentals and rent only to families as opposed to groups of young people. The neighborhood is quiet, residential and respectful of other families. You'll not be disappointed with this rental. Most of our bookings are repeat tenants, year after year.

The 1st floor is actually the middle floor shown in the photos. It features 3 BRs, LR, DR and Kitchen. The 20'x30' ground-floor deck in back is included with this apartment and features a picnic table, lounge chairs, outside shower, laundry room and Weber gas grille. We furnish FREE WiFi, HDTV with DVD Player and FREE use of Beach Badges... all included in the rental. There is plenty of off-street parking as well.

The 2nd Floor (top floor) features 2 BRs and has a Pullout Sofabed in the LR which enables a total of 6 people. The direct views of the beach and ocean from this apartment are even better than the ones in the 1st Floor Apartment. There is a deck on the east side of this unit which has wonderful views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean. It is so close to the beach, one can easily toss a seashell from this deck and hit the beach with it! Again, FREE WiFi, HDTV with DVD Player and FREE use of Beach Badges... all included in the rental. There is also plenty of off-street parking as well, just as there is for the 1st floor.

We own this home as well as the rental duplex across the street. Both are 2nd from the ocean. We take pride in our rentals and are on location EVERY Saturday during the rental season to make sure everything is CLEAN, well maintained and that your vacation will be everything you'd hoped it would be.

Why Bob Amon chose Beach Haven

We chose this location for two reasons: the close proximity to town and the attractions in Beach Haven and because the beach at this location is wide and the dune is high. This makes this a perfect beach because it is always wide and there is always plenty of room to put your towel and umbrella. The lifeguards set up 75' to the south of the entrance, so the swimming area is right there as you enter the beach.

What makes this apartment unique

We enjoy the direct ocean and beach views and the convenience of being this close to the beach. There are no streets to cross and 16th street dead-ends into the sand dune, making it an ideal place for children to play outside. It's an ideal place to spend your vacation... quiet moments when you want them, yet close enough to everything Beach Haven has to offer!

Everything you could want in a rental!

We stayed at this property on the week after Labor Day. Our family rented the 3 bedroom unit, friends rented the unit above ours. First of all, the home is incredibly well maintained, extremely clean and spacious. There are a/c units in each bedroom, which is a must during the summer heat. The beach is steps (maybe 20) from the house, we didn't even need to bring our flip flops! There are plenty of beach badges, and there is a flat screen tv w/dvd and free wifi. The outdoor shower is large with a changing area. There is also an outdoor grill and patio for you to enjoy your meals. The icing on the cake is the laundry room with (seemingly) brand new washer and dryer. We felt welcome and right at home. The location couldn't be better - steps from the ocean (we watched the sunrise every day) and a few minutes walk from the local attractions (bring a stroller for the little ones). Thank you Bob for attending to all of our needs and providing such a fabulous vacation rental! We highly recommend it!

Our family LOVES this home !

My family has been staying at this beach house for many years, and I've finally gotten around to writing a review.
 First, we couldn't be happier with this home, which is why we have returned year after year! It feels like our "second home" and the owners have created that wonderful feeling for our family. They are there every saturday to insure that the house is clean and that there are no issues that need to be addressed. They are so kind and accommodating and truly seem to care about their tenants. 
The house is always clean, neat, and very inviting... and the views are AMAZING ! Its only steps from the beach, and they have provided more than enough beach badges! 
We love the outdoor shower, and having the free wifi is great. The location on the island is great. Many stores and restaurants are close enough to bike ride or even walk to.


We are looking forward to our stay here again next summer !

Needs some TLC

My family rented both floors of the rental for 2 weeks. If you're interested in an ideal location this is the place to come. If you're interested in a comfortable stay maybe you should look elsewhere. As mentioned you cannot beat the location. Literally you can throw a stone from the top deck to the beach. The home is much older than it looks on the outside. It needs some TLC. I caught my finger in the screen door handle a number of times, it needs to be replaced. The windows which provide a beautiful view of the ocean need to be washed so that you can actually see the beach. The blinds that need to be raised in the morning to catch the beautiful light and lowered so that the world cannot see your every move at night need to be replaced with blinds that actually work and are not the $1.99 specials from home depot. The stairs need to have better lighting so that you can walk up and down them at night without fear of falling. The windows in the 1st floor apartment bedrooms need to be replaced so that when it rains that it does not come flooding in ruining everything on the night table. The a/c needs to be replaced so on the hottest day of the year the renters do not have to retreat to their bedrooms in search of relief. The internet connection needs to be replaced so that if a renter would like to do some work on vacation they don't have to cross their fingers that they will have a connection for more than 20 minutes. And the bathroom needs to have a place to sit items used in the bathroom. Needless to say we felt the house was completely overpriced for what you got...no comforts of home.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for praising our location and views, but I feel giving us only one star is unwarranted. We work very hard to ensure our rentals are well-maintained and my wife Carolyn and I are there EVERY Saturday during changeover to make sure the apartments are extra clean and ready. This is something you don't ordinarily find with most LBI rentals anymore.
We have many repeat customers, year after year, and we have also been booked solid for the past 15 years, so obviously we're doing something right! If our rentals were overpriced and the house not well-maintained, wouldn't the market show that with many vacancies? We have none, year after year. That is why I think your one star rating is unjustified, especially since most of your complaints are patently false. There is an 8,000 BTU air conditioner in the LR and one in each BR. There is a porch light on the top deck (see photos) and two overhead lights on each landing below that. Our WiFi consists of a NetGear Dual-Band Router with Comcast high-speed connection which works flawlessly.
I have my own website with many photos and ALWAYS send a link to it with every inquiry so that folks like yourselves can see the many interior shots. I know 207 is not as new and modern as 210 is, but it's not priced the same either, and I've never represented it as anything but a clean, comfortable rental next to the ocean with the terrific views you mention. I'm sorry it didn't meet your expectations, but our home certainly doesn't warrant a one-star rating, which I suspect is the result of my bringing to your attention the fact that you ran your car into our fence and also chipped the edge of the countertop in the 1st floor. Next To The Beach And VERY CLEAN

We have extended family in New Jersey and needed several apartments for our family. We found Bob and Carolyn's two rentals last summer on the internet and booked two weeks with them in both houses. The two houses are opposite one another on 16th Street, which is close to everything and really convenient for all of us.

I have to say that this is the best NJ beach property we have ever found, and I grew up at the Jersey shore and have seen plenty! The apartments were immaculate and everything was in a high state of maintenance. And they've thought of everything... even free WiFi and plenty of beach badges in each apartment!

Bob and Carolyn were there on the Saturday we moved in, to make sure everything was ready for us. This is something you don't always find in a summer rental and we'd highly recommend their rentals to anyone. They were "hands on" with everything it took to make our vacation enjoyable. We liked the experience so much we're retuning this year again for another two weeks!

Our immaculate home is located 2nd from the beach on the north side of 16th street, where the street dead-ends at the ocean. It is literally a 30-foot walk from the front yard to the dune. The property is within easy walking distance of many restaurants and activities and features ample off-street parking.

The attractions in Beach Haven are numerous. There are museums, guided walking tours of the old Victorian section, concerts in the park, live plays at the Surflight Theatre, a Water Slide and amusement park and many fine restaurants and casual eating establishments featuring a broad range of cuisine, all within walking or bike-riding distance! Rent a kayak, jet-ski or sailboat! A short drive off the island features stock-car racing at New Egypt, several golf courses, a rifle range and go-cart amusements!

Notes A Rental Agreement is provided prior to collection of any payments. Please read the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement. Personal checks are preferred. In the event of cancellation, any portion of the monies paid less the Hold Deposit will be refunded, less expenses, provided the unit(s) are able to be re-rented in time and for the same amount as agreed upon in the Rental Agreement.
A $300 Hold Deposit will hold any period in any unit until February 1st of the rental year. After February 1st, 50% of the rental amount is due. The remaining 50% of the rental amount is due two weeks prior to your arrival. Upon occupancy, your original $300 Hold Deposit becomes a $300 Security Deposit, which is refundable providing there is no damage. Please refer to our Rental Agreement.
