Escape from the hustle & bustle and find rest & relaxation at our secluded hideaway. Whispering Creek cabin is nestled above a meandering creek amidst a beautiful canopy of trees. Allow time schedules to disappear as you lounge on the porch swing or rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch. Listen to the babbling creek, the multitude of birds and quietly wait for the morning and evening visits from the local deer. Or, find fun & excitement in the surrounding Aska Adventure Area. Hiking & biking trails run throughout the area. The Toccoa River, said to be the best trout fishing stream in Ga., is just 1/4 mi. from the cabin. Put in your canoe, kayak or tube for a great ride. Come home and relax & warm up in the outdoor hot tub located just above the creek on the bottom deck!

The cabin itself is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. The Toccoa River, said to be the best trout fishing stream in Ga., runs through the forest all along the Aska Adventure Area and into Lake Blue Ridge. The quaint historic town of Blue Ridge is nearby. There are many waterfalls, hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail and Great Smoky National Park is about 1 1/2 hrs. away. The topography & vegetation here is similar to GSNP.

About the cabin: The cabin itself was built in 2006 with authentic chink-log construction. It is beautifully decorated, fully furnished, with a kitchen containing stainless steel appliances, microwave hood and gas range. It includes gas fireplace and flat-screen tv in living room.

Beautiful cabin, the pictures do not do it any justice. Did not want to leave. They have thought of everything to include with the cabin rental, the only thing we had to bring was food.We will definetly be staying there again.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed the weekend of 9/5/08 and had such a wonderful time! We had planned to do a lot of hiking, tubing etc. but the cabin was just so comfortable and relaxing that we ended up spending almost all of our time hanging out on the porch just taking in the beautiful surroundings. The second floor deck feels like being in a treehouse with ceiling fans adding to the breeze. And after a hard day of relaxing, the hot tub was a lovely way to end the day.

The cabin was immaculate and stocked with anything you could possibly need. Aside from groceries, there was nothing that we needed to buy. (It is fairly remote out there so definitely make sure that you hit the grocery store in town before you head down Aska road.) None of the linens or kitchen utensils were of poor quality which is what you find in a lot of rental properties so it's obvious that Carol and Al put a lot of thought into their guests' comfort.

We really enjoyed our weekend there and we'll definitely be back. Thanks for everything Carol and Al!

A PIECE OF PARADISE!

My husband, two sons, and son's friend spent a week here in July and I must say out of all the cabins I have stayed at this was absolutely the best! It is so clean and furnished very nicely and the setup was great for us. The boys really enjoyed the pool table at night. There is so much to do in the area. The boys whitewater rafted at Ocoee and one day we rented a ski boat at Lake Chatuge which was a beautiful lake. Another day we tubed down the Toccoa River. It was just so peaceful at the cabin. In the mornings I would sit on the porch and watch the deer. We received such good hospitality in downtown Blue Ridge that we made a second trip. Carol, thank you so much for allowing us to share a piece of your paradise. This was a "much needed" vacation for our family and we really did not want to leave. Hope to go back!

Rest and Relaxation.

The cabin was perfect. The deer visited every morning and evening. We enjoyed all the surrounding waterfalls and little shops in the towns nearby. This is a great place for rest and relaxation. Hope to be able to return in the future. Cabin was extremely clean and love the decor.

Cabin was great! Loved all!!!
We came to get away from work and the every day hustle and bustle of city life and it was better than we imagined. Loved everything about the cabin, loads to do without even leaving and loved the little town of Blue Ridge.
The owners were great to work with. Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful place!
Will definately be back.
