Perfect combination of peaceful and fun!

My wife and I have stayed at Paradise Found every year for the past three years (twice one year)! We love the house and keep coming back! It really is in the perfect location. The beach is a quick 2 minute walk away and it is so quiet and peaceful - we have been four times to Ft. Myers, our first trip had one other person on the beach with us and the last 3 times we have been the only people on the beach every day for hours! It is SO relaxing and such a great retreat. The island is small enough though that the downtown area, bars, resturants, etc. are either within walking distance or within biking distance. Biking on the island, beach or road, is soooo relaxing! There are alot of fun, great places to eat and shop. Our favorities are the Smoking Oyster Brewery (get the buckets!) and the Heavenly Biscut for breakfast (get there early!).

The house itself is very nice - Barby (the owner) has done such a great job decorating the place and all the little touches really show, from the seashell crushed front yard to the outside area for grilling to the decorations to the flip flop on the wall in the second bedroom. It really puts you in an "island" state of mind! She also has provided beach towels, chairs, bikes, etc. which is really nice when you are coming from out of state like us! She also allows pets which is just wonderful - we are planning to drive next year and bring our dog!

Everything is clean, neat, and colorful when you arrive. She even had little things for us like beach-oriented novels and bookings on kayaking and shelling!

We find the rent to be very affordable, be it in season or out, and we will continue to come as often as we can!

This was a great find, clean, quiet, and comfortable just half a block from the beach. Great location for dogs with friendly access to beach at anytime. Fully equipped for cooking and relaxing at home in cottage like casual decor.
