One of the most characteristic neighborhoods of central Rome in a high quality, well furnished and maintained apartment.

The famous Piazza Navona area is one of the most sought after in historic Rome. The sites are at your doorstep and the area abounds with wonderful restaurants, winding cobblestone streets, cafes, and handy public transportation.

Location

Most famous sights in Rome are within easy walking distance. The glorious Piazza Navona is half a minute walk away. Just below is the famous Pasquino statue where, for centuries, Romans have posted political lampoons. This is just one of the 'Talking Statues of Rome' which history is an interesting digression.

Exterior

The building dates from the 1800s and has an elevator. The Pasquino apartment is on the top floor for maximum light.

Interior

This central Roman apartment is laid out wonderfully for use by travelers. The 'day' rooms and 'night' rooms are well separated so variations in guest schedules don't disturb others.

The apartment itself sleeps up to six people with a master bedroom with queen size bed, second bedroom with 3 twin beds and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room.

One enters the apartment into a hallway lined with historic prints. On the right is the large eat-in kitchen and the next door leads to a spacious and light-filled living room. The dining table seats six. A grouping of sofa and love seat are placed close to the window overlooking Piazza Pasquino. There flat screen TV in the living room receives a few English language news channels. There is Wifi. An independently controlled air conditioning system serves the living and dining room. The original coffered hand-painted ceilings high above are a special feature.

The master bedroom also overlooks Piazza Pasquino. It is tastefully done with golden hued fabric lined walls. The bed has a leather, padded headboard and a firm queen-sized mattress. French antique bedside tables have reading amps. A flat screen television is mounted facing the bed (Italian channels only). This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. Closets for this bedroom are in an entry space that also opens onto the bathroom that has a tub with shower sprayer that can be hooked up high, sink, toilet and bidet.

The second bedroom is the former library and has a warm glow of wood. It can sleep three in 3 single beds. One twin bed is tucked between the cabinets and feels a bit like a ship captain's bunk. The other twin bed is a trundle bed with a second bed that pulls out from underneath. This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. The bedroom overlooks Via dei Leutari. Ample closets in this room. The second bathroom has a fully enclosed shower, sink, toilet, bidet and washing machine. The bathrooms are older but clean and functional.

The kitchen is very large for a city apartment; it has three large windows that admit a lot of light and a table that can seat four. The kitchen is has a refrigerator, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, pots, pans, utensils and dishes.

Charming, bustling location

Submitted: May 4, 2013 Stayed: April 2013
First time to rent an apartment for an overseas holiday and it all went as smooth as could be.

The apartment is larger and brighter than perhaps seems in the photos. It has wonderful painted ceilings in all rooms. The fittings e.g. crockery, is of the highest quality. The lift works well and the door lock is very secure indeed. There were a couple of elderly people in our group and it was very convenient to them. We came during spring, so didnt't need to use the AC.

Location in Piazza Pasquino is right beside Piazza Navona. That's perhaps too busy an area for most tastes but it made it easy with taxis (for the oldies) as there's a taxi rank nearby and we just had to ask for Navona to come home. Find out about the 2200 year old status in Pasquino, it is very intersting! Shops: Carrefour on the same street is excellent. However walk 50m further, turn right towards a church, and there is a nicer small old-fashioned supermarket that sells wonderful bread, and near it is a butcher.

Restaurants: Piazza Pasquino is NOT the place to eat. It's a tourist magnet with the usual prices and indifferent service, and anywhere around Navona is as bad. However walk to Carrefour and beyond and once you get 100m away from Pasquino the restaurants become much nicer and friendlier and cheaper, and their clientele more obviously local.

On arrival we were picked at the airport by a driver recommended by the hotel who services the apartment, the driver phoned ahead and when we arrived, our contact was waiting at street level for us. We were given a thorough explanation of everything in the apartment before he left (also he collected city tax and check-in fee). [Extra check-in fee was due to guest's late night arrival. There is no check in fee for regular arrivals. Italy Perfect] The apartment was spotless on arrival and the intermediate cleaning we booked came as scheduled (they had a key so no need to wait in). Everything worked in the apartment including wireless. There were cleaning fluids and materials and also some kitchen items such as oil and salt presumably left by prior guests; the Carrefour supermarket on the same street 200m away opens until 9pm and is of good quality. On departure we just had to close the door behind us and leave the keys. Smooth as clockwork.

Ideal Location

Submitted: April 23, 2013 Stayed: March 2013
Our vacation in Rome was wonderful! It started with our warm greeting at the airport from Stefano, our driver. We had a party of 5 and Stefano made our trip into Rome and to the apartment very easy. Stefano also took us on the return trip to the airport. The greeter who met us at the apartment was knowledgable and answered all of our questions. The front desk at the Hotel Tiziano was also very helpful with restaurant suggestions. The Pasquino apartment was ideally located about a block from the Piazza Navona. It was also very near the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. A taxi stand, bus stop, pharmacy and grocery store are also very close.
The apartment itself is a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of the tourist sites. The apartment is spacious with ample room for relaxing and good closet space. The kitchen is well equipped and the Nespresso machine was a bonus. Bring your own capsules or buy them there. The bathrooms are updated, - a little quirky - but just fine. The beds were very comfortable, the wireless was very easy to use and fairly speedy. All in all, excellent.
Our favorite restaurant was right downstairs. Cul de Sac offers wonderful, inventive small plates and great wine. Trattoria Moderne was very, very good , reasonably priced and highly suggested.
We would also highly recommend Christina Buonasera as a wonderful, personable, guide. Christina made Rome and Roman history come alive. We toured the Palantine Hill and Colosseum one day, and then toured the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel another. Christina met us at the apartment, arranged tickets to get us around the lines and was absolutely professional and delightful.
Alan Epstein gave us walking tour of everyday Rome and was a highlight of the trip. Every corner of Rome has fascinating history. Alan is a wonderful story teller and historian. His sense of humor and history are not to be missed.
We also took a day trip to Tivoli and Villa D'Este. Stefano drove us and also arranged for an amazing lunch at Sibilla, a two fork Michelan star restaurant with amazing views and equally wonderful food. Highly recommended.
Italy Perfect did just that. Our accommodations, logistics and guides made our time in Rome perfect. Pat Byrne was a great source of information. We would definitely use Italy Perfect again.

Great Neighborhood and Location

Submitted: April 7, 2013 Stayed: December 2012
We had a wonderful stay in the Pasquino apartment ... although we did not spend much time inside. With 50-60 degree weather in December, much of our stay was spent walking and exploring the sites and streets of Rome. And, this location was a great place to begin and end the day. The neighborhood restaurants and shops are fabulous; tons of friendly and helpful people can be found, and we enjoyed the end of the day dinners and gelato. The apartment was clean and as expected, easy to get to and not too noisy. Stefano's taxi service to and from the airport was terrific, timely and easy. The information that Italy Perfect provided was helpful in preparing for the trip. We would certainly use Italy Perfect again should we be so lucky to visit this historic city again.

Fabulous Roman Apartment

Submitted: March 25, 2013 Stayed: March 2013
We were delighted to arrive after 30 hours travelling with our two children to charming apartment located in a quiet lane. With a recommendation from Stefano who picked us up from the airport we headed to the nearby Buffeto pizza restaurant for a quick dinner before a well-earned sleep. The apartment was warm, quiet and character-filled. The high studded ceilings gave a sense of space and the large lounge and two bedrooms as well as separate kitchen and dining gave us room to spread out. Days from the Pasquino apartment began with breakfast at the nearby Tiziano hotel and were followed by walks to the many sights nearby - the Roman forum, Vatican, the Spanish Steps and Corso di Fiori were all within an enjoyable walk for our family. The many restaurants in the Pasquino area served us well for lunches and dinners - either at the restaurant or take-away. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Family Holiday in Rome

Submitted: March 17, 2013 Stayed: February 2013
We very much enjoyed our family holiday in Rome, in February 2013. We loved the apartment, Pasquino. The library room accommodated our three children comfortably, and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. We were very close to good supermarkets, and the kitchen was really well equipped. It was also great to have so many guidebooks available in the apartment. - An added bonus for us was breakfasts at the Hotel Tizziana which certainly got morning off to a good start.

The location couldn't be better - within 5 minutes walking from Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, we were right in the middle of the city. We walked everywhere (even with a 4 year old) from the apartment. Make sure you visit the wonderful Leonardo machines museum just around the corner, and have ice-cream on Piazza Navona. We also found a wonderful coffee shop next to the Pantheon (Tazza D'Oro).

We'd certainly recommend the apartment and Italy Perfect to others ... and after throwing our coins in the Trevi fountain, we'd bound to come back!
