Wish we could have stayed longer

The house was as cute as it looked in the pics. Very clean - had everything you could need. Stayed with 2 senior, 2 kids. The walk to beach isn't that far but if you have little ones, you may want to bring a wagon. After a day at the beach in the middle of July heat the pool came in handy even though on the warm side. The kids loved fishing off the dock and being able to see the fish thru the water. Caught some pretty big catfish. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any dolpins. The beach was clean and not too crowded and I can't count how many cool shells the kids found. Close to Tropicana Field if you want to take in a game and trolley service up and down the beach is real easy if you don't drive. Dockside Dave's restaurant was a favorite. May have to go back soon!!

Great Home, Great Location

The house is clean and well appointed. The pool and back yard are in a perfect setting: right next to a canal that opens into the Intercoastal Waterway. We were able to catch small fish off the dock just about any time we wanted, however, only a few were "keepers." We found great restaurants nearby as well as interesting places to shop. Everything was as described by the owner. We highly recommend this property.

Great House for vacation with family and friends

We had a great vacation in this house, and it's big enough for 2 women in the kitchen. We along with our adult son and daughter-in-law stayed in the house the first week of March 2009. Our grandson and great-grandson live in the St. Pete area, so we had 4 generations in the house at one time. We even had "Thomas the Train" set up in the living room. We had 8 for dinner with plenty of room.
The weather was not warm enough to enjoy the pool, but it was beautiful to just sit out, watch the boats and relax.
The house is close to the beach, restaurants and shopping, grocery; an ideal location. It is also a safe area; I walk every morning and felt very safe in the neighborhood.
Most everything is available in the house to have a very enjoyable vacation.
We will book it again if it's available next year. And would definitely recommend the house to friends.

Just a beautifull house-in-the-street

We were 7 times in Madeira Beach: in hotels, apartments and condo's. This time we were looking for a house on the ground floor. Not a house in a gated community or resort, but just in the street. We found it! We spend there three weeks and we were sad leaving it going home.

First you will see the fantastic pavement in front of the house; the same pavement as around the pool behind the house. The house has a spacious living/dining room annex well-equiped kitchen. There was a TVset with digital signal, CDplayer and so on.
The masterbedroom is cosy with a good kingsize bed. And, of course its own bathroom and its own TV. The second bedroom has two separate beds, TV and its own bathroom with (apart) a washer/dryer.
The pool and dock are wonderfull, tiny but very cosy. We liked it to be there.
Everything was very clean and carefully maintained or remade.
The description at the website of HomeAway turned out to be correct. In the neigbourhood (1/2 to 3 miles) are restaurants, shops, groceries and malls.
Yes, a place to return to and so we have made a reservation for four weeks in 2010.

Very nice home close to the beach!!

We stayed for a full week at this Madeira Beach home. The home has been upgraded within the last couple of years, and it shows! Very clean. All supplies at your fingertips. The view is second to none, being on the Boca Ciega Bay, and the comings and goings of the beautiful boats and neighbors was great. The pool area is awesome, and was a big hit with our kids. We caught some grunts and catfish, and saw some snook in the water. The only downside was there was no grass at all for the dogs, so be aware of that. Also, there is an internet modem to plug in, which isn't mentioned in the ad. We didn't take our laptop, but we lived without it with so much to do. Very close to the beaches of Pinellas county, and tons of great restaurants. We'd stay there again, definitely, and recommend it to friends and family.
