Waterfront cottage on Milton 3 Ponds with sandy beach, in very private area. View the sunset from the front deck. The beach is in a protected cove for swimming, but on the main pond with direct access to the 2 other ponds and the Salmon Falls River. Totally renovated in 2005, with clean, bright, and colorfully furnished interior and an all new exterior that includes 2 decks. Neighboring cottages are barely visable from the cottage.

Location: This totally rebuilt cottage, on an acre of wooded land, abuts conservation land and 2 family compounds at the end of a dirt road. The sun sets across the lake, the loons swim by, and the week days are very quiet. The weekends brings more boating activity on the lake, but the cove is a protected place to swim. If you are seeking a place to get away, a week in this simple, but bright and sparkling cottage would be just the ticket.

Private, Quite, Immaculate

My husband and I stayed at this cheerful little cottage in mid/late September (make sure you pack some warm clothing) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well maintained and tucked just far enough away. During our stay, we visited McKensie's Farm, Castle in the Clouds, Stonewall Kitchens Warehouse, Portsmouth, Kittery (Maine) all within reasonable traveling distance. When it was time to relax, we canoed around the lake taking in the first signs of Autumn, enjoyed a lakeside campfire, and woke refreshed in the morning to the sound of loons. The owners are cordial and accomodating to say the least. If we had a need or question, it was immediately addressed. I would not hesitate to stay at this charming, bright cozy cottage again.

Our favorite family getaway!

Our family (2 adults, 2 small children) have been staying at this cottage for a week the past three summers. It is just the right size and is immaculately kept with cute decor and necessary ammenities (updated grill makes it easy to cook in!). The sandy/shallow beach right off the porch is fabulous for little kids, and gets great afternoon sun. Within biking distance to a marina with boat rentals and fabulous ice cream.. a reasonable drive to Story Land and North Conway.. and a perfect hammock for for lazy afternoons and family bonding! The cottage owners are fantastic, accomodating and very welcoming. We love it - it has become our new family tradition!

Very tucked away and private. The cottage is adorable and well-kept. You can swim whenever the whim strikes, canoe, and play around on the rubber kayak, or just cuddle up on the cozy couch overlooking the lake to watch tv or read. The hammock fetched the mid-day sun and was a perfect place to veg out. Everyday I walked the paved road skirting the lake. I felt perfectly safe staying alone there. The owner couldn't of been more gracious. This little gem is a perfect getaway if you want to exercise, enjoy the view and relax.
