We rented this property for two weeks. All but one of our six children and their spouses spent at least a week with us in the house. We were met promptly and all staff were helpful and very kind. We spent a lot of time outside in the pool, cooking on the grill, and eating at the two long tables. It was a fabulous experience and everyone enjoyed their time in St. Remy. The owners were very accommodating and had a portable crib and high chair available for our youngest traveler and coordinated the mid-stay cleaning so that we could change sheets in the rooms that had new guest coming. We used the air-conditioning the second week we were there and it cooled the house off very nicely. The beds were very comfortable and as the description notes, the curtains and finishes were lovely. We had plenty of dishes, pans, etc. to cook for our large group after going to the market.
The walk into town is certainly do-able but most preferred to drive. The Wednesday market was fabulous as always and we found that the town is even nicer than it was when we were there two years ago. Since many in the group had never been to the area, we went to Glanum, St. Paul's to see where Van Gogh spent one of his last years, Les Beaux for the charming town and to hike through the castle ruins, Gordes, and always a dinner at Mas des Gres near Ile Sur La Sorgue. A great jumping off point to all of the charming towns in Provence!
