Spectacular Colonial Style Villa with Pool and Large Jacuzzi

"This house is a wonderful family home - large, warm, beautifully furnished and clearly cared for. Hilda looks after the house and whoever is staying with grace and discretion. The central areas of pool, hot tub, dining patio and family salon are located around a courtyard with all bedrooms leading off. We rented both the main house (master suite, three bedrooms with bathrooms, dining room, salon, kitchen) and the smaller house (two main bedrooms with bathroom and salon/kitchen) which is on the other side of the pool. The house, location, staff and ambiance all surpassed our expectations and we spent a lot of time enjoying being there together. It was delightful. We had a rental car and it took just a few minutes to get to the nearest supermarket/commercial centre and a further few minutes from there to the centre of Cuernavaca. We highly recommend this property for any family/group gathering - it really has the sense of a much loved family home and is looked after very well indeed. Everything you need is supplied. The listing doesn't really do it justice - it's much more beautiful"

We rented the villa and bungalow in April for 9 people, whilst a party of friends joined us to celebrate our son's wedding in Cuernavaca. The whole property is very beautiful and extremely well maintained. The housekeeper, Hilda, is an absolute treasure. Her Mexican breakfasts were to die for and, although she spoke no English, and our Spanish was limited, we managed very well. The people opened their hearts to us, so kind and helpful. It is a little removed from town, and there is not much in the vicinity apart from a small supermarket, but taxis are cheap and plentiful. Our evenings by the lovely pool/jacuzzi after busy days sightseeing were perfect. The only thing we could have wished for would be air conditioning in the main house bedrooms, otherwise all good!

The pictures do not even come close to showing the beauty and comfort of this wonderful home. The furnishings and decorating was all so beautiful. We had a party of 6 adults and 4 children and we were very comfortable. The owner was very courteous and was always quickly available to answer all my questions via e-mail. Housekeeping was wonderful and she cooked for us when we bought her groceries at the nearby American style supermarket. Many wonderful things to see and do are a taxi ride away. We especially liked the markets in the Cento in Cuernavaca. We paid the driver recommended by housekeeping take us by the sites in Mexico City (we were able to stop at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadelupe) and Teotihuacan all in one day and he was marvelous. We (especially our kids ages 7 through 21)also enjoyed Las Estecas Natural Water Park, but you really need to get someone to take you there. One bit of advice.... Mexico City was a difficult place to drive and find your way. I recommend getting a driver for airport/Mexico City transportation and then using taxis (taxis only cost a few dollars to go anywhere around Cuernavaca.)
I would recommend this property to anyone, especially families! We hope to go back again someday!
