Photos and Description of the Ludlow vacation chalet rental 3BR, 2BA, sleeps 8

Walk to the Sachem Trail (approx 150 yards) at Okemo Mountain; large living room with raised hearth fireplace, cathedral ceiling, deck. All utilities, cable, firewood, plowing included in price. For good skiers there is a trail through the woods to the lower Sachem Trail. Two upstairs bedrooms are off a balcony; one has two bunk beds, the other twin beds; there is a full bath between the rooms. The downstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and a full bath . A pull- out dining table seats 8. The kitchen is fully equipped. If I do not respond to your email, please call me in Vermont where I probably will be. I am a ski instructor at Okemo. (802) 228-7790

Nearest Train: Rutland at 30 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Route 100 at 4 Miles

Located on Okemo Mountain, 150 yards to Sachem Trail (access to ski area). Many good restaurants and shops are in the village of Ludlow, about a mile down the road. Outdoor ice skating and sledding are nearby. Also in walkng distance to the base lodge and Sitting Bull bar/restaurant (either through the woods or down the Sachem). Great view of the fireworks from our deck. *** Note: If there is no email response within 2 days, please call as I am probably in Vermont.

  • Starts at $450/night midweek. Weekends and holidays, $550/night, rates can vary, please inquire.
  • Seasonal Rental from December 1 to April 15 or until Okemo closes: $16, 000 ( Includes all utilities, cable tv, firewood, plowing.)

    Midweek rate:$425/night. Weekends and holiday periods: $525/night. Inquire for weekly/other rates.
    Ski Season: Dec 1 2006 - Apr 15 2007: $500/night weekends, $350/night midweek - 2 night minimum
    Notes: Christmas/ MLK/Presidents' Week: $525 per/night

    Seasonal Rental from December 1st to April 15th: $16, 800.00 (includes firewood, plowing, all utilities).
  • Check-in 5PM - Check-out 11AM
    $1, 500 security deposit if rented for the season



    50% deposit is required to make a reservation (no credit cards); 10% cancellation fee.

    Rentals less than 30 days subject to 9% Vermont rooms tax.

Notes: This is an older home, comfy and cozy with a big fireplace in the cathedral ceiling living room. Large windows off the deck welcome the morning sun as it rises over the hills from the east.

Very short walk to ski trail access.: If there is no email response within 2 days, please call, as I am probably in Vermont. Our house is about 150 yards to the Sachem ski trail, which leads to the Base Lodge. If you are a good skiier, you can go through the woods behind the house to the ski trail.

This is a wonderful house, and it was home away from home for me for many years. That's because it has a very comfortable, relaxed, homey atmosphere all its' own. There is a huge living dining area with stunning views of mount Ascutney to the east. It is a few minute's walk to the slopes so you can come home for lunch and go back out. It's fireplace makes evenings beautiful. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Spacious living area, well equipped, cozy fireplace, nice deck views of nearby mountains but the star attraction is the skiing. A short walk to magnificent, well manicured ski trails. Perfect for the whole family. Friendly, accommodating owners who are willing to assist. For good skiers there is a trail through the woods to the slopes.

Perfect for Skiers

You can't find a more perfect place for skiers. An easy ski trail and chair lift is within walking distance. This place feels like a home away from home and the large fireplace is the best feature. My only complaint was that the place did not retain heat well. However, I get cold very easily and everyone else in my family felt comfortable.
