Weekend getaway in the country

My husband and I rented out this very cute house with two other couples for a relaxing weekend getaway. The house is pretty big and comfortable enough to hold 8 people. It's also fully equipped with all the essentials - linens, towels, toilet paper, house products, washer/dryer, etc. The deck was great for BBQs and at night, we even saw a deer that came by to munch on some apples from the apple tree that's next to the deck! There's a private beach and lots of greenery in the backyard. The weather wasn't great during our weekend so it limited our activity options. We went hiking in Rensselaerville and we were supposed to go horseback riding but had to cancel due to the rain. My husband also brought his fishing gear and went out to the private beach, where he caught lots of different fish. The owner of the property was very helpful and informative and made the whole process very easy. Even the next door neighbor was helpful and he checked up on us once to make sure we were settled in and didn't need anything. Small shopping center and restaurants are nearby. The house is about 2-2.5 hours away from NYC.
