Launch canoe and kayaks directly from backyard into the Hudson! Located in charming Coxsackie NY, 2 1/2 hours from NYC, 20 minutes from Hudson train station (on Amtrak Albany line). Catskills, antiquing, hiking, restaurants all within 20 minute drive. 2 full bedrooms with additional guest bedroom/office, dining room, living room/sunroom with fold-out bed, kitchen with new appliances. Sleeps 8. Exposed beams and original floorboards. Airy, light-filled open plan kitchen, dining room and office downstairs. AC in master bedroom. Large deck with BBQ. Wood-burning stove in dining room. Inexpensive car rentals available in area. Down the street from Coxsackie Yacht Club for larger boats.

Unique and Charming Rental

This home was beyond charming, modern design and fixtures in a classic 19th century farm house, not your average funky dusty cabin. Steps to the Hudson for boating and swimming. Don't miss the classic drive in movie just minutes away or downtown Catskill where antiques are still affordable. The owner was more than helpful. A great vacation.

Weekend getaway in the country

My husband and I rented out this very cute house with two other couples for a relaxing weekend getaway. The house is pretty big and comfortable enough to hold 8 people. It's also fully equipped with all the essentials - linens, towels, toilet paper, house products, washer/dryer, etc. The deck was great for BBQs and at night, we even saw a deer that came by to munch on some apples from the apple tree that's next to the deck! There's a private beach and lots of greenery in the backyard. The weather wasn't great during our weekend so it limited our activity options. We went hiking in Rensselaerville and we were supposed to go horseback riding but had to cancel due to the rain. My husband also brought his fishing gear and went out to the private beach, where he caught lots of different fish. The owner of the property was very helpful and informative and made the whole process very easy. Even the next door neighbor was helpful and he checked up on us once to make sure we were settled in and didn't need anything. Small shopping center and restaurants are nearby. The house is about 2-2.5 hours away from NYC.
