'Awesome Cottage! Great Owner!
Absolutely loved this house and will definitely plan on staying here again! My husband is originally from Connecticut and his entire family still lives there. Traditionally we stay with family when we visit but I decided to rent a house this trip so we could entertain and have everyone over. This house was charming and very comfortable. It was my mother in laws 80th birthday and I had about 25 family members over for a dinner party. Every person who entered the house commented on what a terrific cottage it was. Having the upstairs loft was a perfect space for my son to have his privacy and a place to relax. He (and I) loved having the wireless internet connection that worked great! The outdoor area was very private and the deck was a wonderful space to hang out and kick back. Everyone really enjoyed the art work throughout the house and commented that it provided warmth and character to the cottage. Lastly I want to share my comments on the owner Yvette, she was very prompt in her responses to me and a real pleasure to work with through the rental process. Yvette thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us, it was the most memorable visit to Connecticut that our family has ever had. Take care, my best, Julianna (This was the first time I ever rented a home online or used the Home Away site, it was a great experience!)'
I have been renting my cottage since 2006. I own the lot next door, a tiny wooded lot, so the back yard is very private. The house is on a private dirt road....the home has a large deck, front porch, fireplace, I provide linens, spices, paper towels, trash bags.
This is the home I raised my boys in. It was always filled with love....
Home Away site, it was a great experience!)

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond to you. I am so far behind in so many things from the before the wedding planning and then being gone and it is the busy season at work all adds insult to injury, and when I responded to you I wanted to be able to include some pictures and take my time.
We are head over heels in love with that house! It is just so beautiful and so cozy. It sounds strange but I felt no different being there than when I am in my own home. Was lovely, incredible backyard, very well kept, close to everything, we truly enjoyed our stay! I did not want to leave. I cannot thank you enough for all that you did to help us plan for our stay and for the wedding. I came across so many cottages for rent over the planning process and I kept coming back to yours. Something about it just seemed so right not even counting the logistics with the clubhouse, big backyard, and closeness to the beach.
The wedding was the day of my dreams. Everything was perfect! The weather, the ceremony, the beach was even beautiful despite the continued construction, and the parking was ready for us in the morning at the clubhouse which was a huge blessing. The yard was the perfect size for our pavillion tent and the lovely deck was perfect for our buffet line. I will send separate pictures of the set up I had for the backyard in a different email. I am limited to size unfortunately so I will send more separately. I've attached a few of my favorite pictures for you to take a peek at. :)

Mom, grandmother, friend, creative. Love creating spaces, bringing families together...It warms my Heart. This is the home I raised my boys in. It was always filled with love....
Its quiet, clean, I own the lot next door, so the back yard is very private. The house is on a private dirt road....the home has a large deck, front porch, fireplace, I provide linens, spices, kitchen & dining ware.
Great area, charming neighborhood of beach cottages. I made it colorful and decorated with interesting art. The kitchen back splash is a hand-made compilation of broken glass, shells and interesting finds…. Nice deck, huge pine tree, perennial gardens make for a charming yard. Boat mooring, beach.....Fireplace, air conditioning.
