Tigers Lair backs up to the Currituck Golf Course and is just 420yds to the beach. 4WD beach area is just 7miles north on Rt12 to visit the Wild Horses.

Notes: Double-sided fireplace on 2nd floor livingroom and top floor master bedroom, wet-bar on ground level that has microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker and full-sized refrigerator. Backyard has 3 hole putting green (putters & balls provided), childrens playgym, large Hammock under the trees, large Tiki Bar, Horseshoe pit, outside stereo system, large pool with fiberoptic lighting and its all fenced in!

Home was well equiped for multi-family use. The back yard provides a full day of fun for children w/pool and putting green. The three levels of the home allowed for each family to be on a seperate floor which was great for getting the kids to bed. Property was clean, well-maintained and provided adequate areas for gathering or solitude. Walk to the beach was about 2 blocks but difficult to cross the main road w/children and beach gear due to the heavy traffic, no crosswalks available. We chose to have an adult drop the family off by car at the beach access and then walk over.
Access to 4 wheel drive beach is very close, many areas for food shopping and places to eat, however we chose to cook each night. Kitchen a bit small for large group, worked best with only 2 adults in kitchen preparing meals at one time. We enjoyed our week and would recommend the home to other renters, especially those with children of an age that could swim as there is no fencing directly around the pool. Especially liked the safety of the grill being outside the main play/pool area. All in all a wonderful stay.

It was our first trip to the OBX so were not sure what to expect. We vacationed with six adults and four children (ages 1 thru 3) we choose this home for the large yard, pool, putting green and rec. room. We were not disapointed. We had everything we needed to entertain the children and the adults.

The location was good as we were not planning on spending every moment at the beach. The 400 yard walk to the beach was a bit cumbersome when carrying all the gear for the kids, but like I said we had everything we needed on the property to entertain us.

The house could have been cleaner but was acceptable. There were however plenty of large spiders around (I am terrified of them) and we also came across a snake and a few lizzards. I guess that has to do with the locaton next to the golf course.

If we return to the OBX and plan on spending more time at the beach we will most likely look for a place on the ocean side or ocean front. The only problem with that is it will be hard to find the outdoor space like the Tigars Lair has.
