Casa Manzana has been restored to perfection. Conveniently situated on a secluded country lane, it is surrounded by over 200 olive trees, rose bushes and fruit trees. It is a short walk from the delightful medieval village of San Terenziano and radiates warmth, character and comfort. The vast panoramic views from either of its two terraces and sala panoramica are incomparable; the sunsets breathtaking. The villa is set on two floors and is full of natural light. While traditionally rustic it has all the modern conveniences such as custom-built farm kitchen, dishwasher, television and DVD player, CD player, central heating, washing machine and new bathrooms. Furnishings are authentic and tasteful with a variety of antiques and ethnic designer effects.

Casa Manzana is situated right in the centre of the splendor of Umbria. You couldn’t find a better location from which to explore everything the region has to offer. The villa provides an ideal base for short excursions to the ancient Umbrian hill towns of: Todi (16 km), Perugia (40 km), Lago Trasimeno (50 km) Spoleto (30 km), Orvieto (40 km) Assisi (45 km). Nearby, there are a multitude of other charming villages and attractions, including the famous ceramics village of Deruta, and the esteemed vineyards of Montefalco. Casa Manzana provides for easy day trips to all the famous areas of Tuscany south of Florence, including Cortona, Siena, Chianti, Arezzo, San Gimignano and many other wonderful nooks and crannies.

    Long weekends are also an option depending on existing bookings.
  • There is a €70 cleaning supplement for bookings during the Christmas and Easter periods.

Notes: The Villa has two terraces, which are ideal for 'al fresco' dining, day and night. The spacious lounge room has a sofa bed for additional guests, fireplace and single bed studio off to the side. There are terracotta tiles and exposed chestnut wood beams throughout. The main bathroom is large and luxurious, with great views of the valley and a relaxing Jacuzzi tub. The villa also has a marvelous and cavernous all rock ‘taverna’, separated from the villa, with its own massive fireplace, tasteful kitchen and bathroom and double sofa bed. Ideal for couples,singles or children who want an extra special, private, rustic and atmospheric experience. Private Yoga lessons can be conducted here on request, in English, by a local qualified instructor.

Things to do.: Apart from simply relaxing and gazing at the ever-changing colours of the panoramic valley below, one can go for walks along the country tracks close by, horse ride around San Terenziano, play tennis, eat magnificent Umbrian food at the local taverns and nearby villages, and take easy day and half-day trips to the numerous ancient cities in the region. The odd shopping jaunt to boutiques in Rome or the antique markets of Arezzo are also pleasant diversions. Private Yoga lessons are available and are conducted on site, in the atmospheric all-stone arched 'taverna' situated on the property, right next to the house. Relaxing and calming are understatements.
