1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom Amazingly Located Home Form And Function Flourish
Aarhus in the middle of the street
Ennismore Gardens IV, in a tranquil nook of Knightsbridge, is a Danish domain. Surrounded by a sea of quintessentially English icons – Museum Quarter, Hyde Park, the Albert Hall – this Scandi settlement is all floors of natural wood, decked with authentic Danish furniture and modern, designer fittings. A lofty bedroom sits on a mezzanine above the stylish sitting room, holding an array of architectural prints. And you’re cordially invited to scan the bookshelves where you’ll find the aesthetics that inspired the home.
Your host is an architect with Danish and Macedonian origins. He’s absorbed in the twinned pursuits of art and design, and teaches architecture here in London.
You’ll see his hand in every detail of this home. A woven show-piece lamp dominates the sitting room of precise angles, slick furnishings and modern artwork, while a sturdy Danish dining table shares a room with a haunting, painted portrait, and your host’s music collection.
Recently refurbished, the timber-topped kitchen is kitted out for entertaining, and the stocked glass cabinets are a marvel in themselves. Beyond, there’s the terrain of Knightsbridge to explore: famous shop windows due east, and Hyde Park’s expanse to the north.

For a relatively short stretch of road, Knightsbridge sure carries a lot of clout. The name has become eponymous with luxury shopping, ultra-expensive residences and non-doms willing to spend whatever it takes to live the dream.
Knightsbridge runs southwards from Hyde Park Corner, suitably starting at Apsley House, the neo-classical townhouse of the Dukes of Wellington which carried the self-assured nickname Number One London as it was the first house riders encountered after the toll gate at Knightsbridge. The moniker has been carried on in Candy & Candy's notorious One Hyde Park next to the Mandarin Oriental, where an apartment was recently sold for £65 million.
Resident oligarcs don't have to move far for homemade fare, with Russian granny-chic bistro Mari Vanna serving up Siberian Pelmeni and Golubtzi, while Heston Blumenthal's Dinner offers medieval Meat Fruits and Salamagundy from the 1720s (which is approximately the year when you needed to have made your reservation).
On Sloane Street, the shopping mecca continues from Harvey Nichols into Chelsea, while Knightsbridge itself leisurely stretches out along Hyde Park, gradually segueing into Kensington Road, leaving behind just a whiff of utmost exclusivity.
Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.
