Marylebone Apartment Rental Photos and Description
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom Home Right Next To Regent’s Park & Marylebone High Street
Path to enlightenment
Journey through London’s urban sprawl and you’ll find yourself beside a wide expanse of green, where waterfalls splash and the beds are dotted with flowers. And here, next to the lawns of Regent’s Park, is a true retreat, all alabaster walls and planed wood, slatted blinds and thick, deep curtains. Downstairs, the artisan grocers and designer boutiques of Marylebone High Street are a stroll away, and so too is Madame Tussauds. But before you plunge headlong into the masses, let your feet guide you across polished wood floors to the master bedroom, where you’ll relish intriguing black and white photographs and the indulgent sound of silence.
Your host is a well-travelled sort, as you’ll see from the selection of guides upon the shelves. Her life is a busy one, so she’s kept her apartment fuss free, with just a few lovely pieces to make you feel at home.
In the zone
Grand sash windows remind you that you’re in one of the world’s oldest cities, but from here on, all is contemporary, with a slick kitchen, Anglepoise lighting and a noble corner sofa in navy blue. Knitted textiles keep you cosy, and the snowy bathroom’s generous corner shower is sure to revitalise.
But best of all is the open-plan dining area which combines meditative simplicity with a rustic dining table, an intricately patterned ornamental fireplace and a fluffy brown rug.

Marylebone can feel like a smart little market town (there actually is a farmer’s market on Sunday mornings), plonked just north of Oxford Street and entirely populated by dedicated foodies. In fact, Marylebone teeters on the edge of twee but stays just about the right side up.
Boundried by Edgware Road to the West and Great Portland Street to the East, much of the area is actually made up of handsome 19th century townhouses, reeks of Regency London and has been one of the city’s best addresses for centuries. It might be less brash and blingy than Mayfair to the south but Seymour Street is dripping with Michelin stars and Harley Street is a sort of Bond Street for essential and non-essential medical procedures.
It is also an area very much having a moment, ‘rediscovered’ by Londoners who champion its leafy calm as, of course, it gets less and less calm every year. Still, Marylebone remains one of the city’s most charming quarters and there are few places better for leisurely afternoons of cake, coffee and dinner party plotting.
