The Bald Head Island Club is a private club that is available for non-member play. Seven holes on the Bald Head Island Course stretch across rolling dunes overlooking the ocean. The course also winds through a maritime forest and wraps around fifteen freshwater lagoons. Four hard-surface tennis courts, located close enough to the ocean to hear the surf, a 25-meter swimming pool & positioned just across a lagoon from the Atlantic Ocean, and regulation greenswards providing a picture-perfect venue for the genteel sport of croquet. Well-equipped fitness room allows you to stick to your exercise program in climate-controlled comfort.

The Shoals Club, overlooking the legendary Cape Fear Point, takes its name from the sandy “Frying Pan Shoals” that extend some 20 miles from the cape. From the club’s extraordinary vantage point, members enjoy fine and casual dining, swimming, direct beach access, and a host of activities for children and adults. Both the BHI club and the Shoals Club temporary memberships are available. Personal boat slips are available at the island marina. Slip rentals are available on a daily or monthly basis.
