The 18-hole championship golf course was awarded “4 1/2 stars” by Golf Digest.. Golf Digest recently ranked the course #12 in the greater Myrtle Beach area. The Bald Head Island Club is a private club that is available for non-member play. Seven holes on the Bald Head Island Course stretch across rolling dunes overlooking the ocean. The course also winds through a maritime forest and wraps around fifteen freshwater lagoons. Four hard-surface tennis courts, located close enough to the ocean to hear the surf, a 25-meter swimming pool & positioned just across a lagoon from the Atlantic Ocean, and regulation greenswards providing a picture-perfect venue for the genteel sport of croquet. Well-equipped fitness room allows you to stick to your exercise program in climate-controlled comfort.
The Shoals Club, overlooking the legendary Cape Fear Point, takes its name from the sandy “Frying Pan Shoals” that extend some 20 miles from the cape.
