This charming bay front cottage is an excellent escape from everyday life! It sits on the Delaware Bay in Slaughter Beach, DE, a sleepy little town with nature abound! The newly remodeled cottage features a great view of the Bay, complete with a sitting porch and screen gazebo. The home has all the conveniences of modern day including washer, dryer, dishwasher, cable TV, microwave, DSL internet, electric oven/stove. Outside it has a picnic table, gas grill and a large deck for sunset viewing.

Nature Abound!!: When you're in Delaware looking for knots and turnstones and peeps in the second half of May, head for Slaughter Beach within a few hours of high tide. Horseshoe crabs should be spawning, and where there are eggs, there are birds. The marsh just west of Slaughter Beach has been preserved. Diamondback terrapin babes that hatch on the beach struggle past the houses and across the road to get to the marsh.

Notes: Although the kitchen only seats 4 (bar seating) the sun porch, deck and screened gazebo has seating for many more and is a favorite spot because of the views. We have recently installed new central air conditioning.

I found this home online and was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful house with great owners. They were accomodating and kept the house in pristine condition. The beach is clean,the area is historical with many sights to see nearby. If you want to stay at a great vacation house this is it.

My adult daughter and I spent a week at the cottage April 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cottage has everything needed to relax and have a good vacation. Laurie is super to work with!
