Kiawah Island is a barrier island off the southern coast of South Carolina which offers unparalleled natural beauty. From the pristine beaches to the environmentally friendly architectural planning, Kiawah offers many sporting activities from championship golf, tennis, biking, etc., and an awesome beach. You will not find high rise buildings, but refreshing wildlife and natural beauty. The new Freshfields center offers a one-stop shopping area with one-of-a-kind stores and a full-service grocery store. Kiawah is approximately 20 miles from Charleston where one can browse through many antique shops to fashionable boutiques, visit the Carrier Yorktown, go to Fort Sumter, go to the Children's Museum and/or the SC Aquarium, visit the the Gibbes Museum, and stroll along The Battery and view the historic homes and gardens. Fine dining is also available both in Charleston and Kiawah. Charleston also offers horse-drawn tours of the city which provide a historic perspective to your visit.

  • Each of these bathrooms has been redone. The hall bathroom has a new large-sized granite counter top with a new vanity, full-size tub with shower, and ceramic tiled flooring. The second bathroom features the shower and toilet, with (new) separate sinks and vanities in each of the bedrooms, off the bathroom. The third bathroom is upstairs off the living area and is a half-bathroom.

  • This villa offers an inverted floor plan with the bedrooms on the first floor; this is an advantage as you can sit on the second-floor deck or living room and watch the golfers hit into the 17th green! Attractively decorated with a welcoming southern style and plantation shutters, there are three bedrooms, all with walk-in closets, on the first floor, with two full baths. Two of the bedrooms (both w/TV's) offer twin beds, plus a master bedroom with a king size bed (pillow top) along with a full-sized television, DVD player and safe for your valuables. Each bedroom has an AM/FM clock radio/CD player, ample dresser space,and all of the bathrooms have hair dryers. There is also a large closet in the hallway to store golf clubs/beach equipment/tennis rackets, and a laundry room withnew full-size washer and dryer on this first floor as well. Lots of space here to spread out your sporting equipment, yet elegant and newly decorated and painted-clean, perfect and pristine!

The location was just a short walk to the beach and the resort privileges were a must with children. They loved the pool. The property was clean and updated. The owner sent very good directions, restaurant reccomendations and local brochures. She was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions. I would highly recommend this to a friend. Kiawah Island is perfect for families.
