Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • $700-1200 weekly,
  • Holiday weeks are the same as Summer Season and include Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Easter.

    SUMMER SEASON June 14 - September 1 $1250 weekly or $200 nightly with 3 night minimum.

    FALL-WINTER-SPRING SEASONS September 1 to June 13 $700 weekly, $100 nightly with 3 night minimum.
    Absolutely No Smoking on Property.

    Check-in: 3:00 p.m. Check-out: 10:00 a.m.

    $200 Security Deposit Due Upon Booking.
    Well mannered, crated pets ok with prior approval and one time $50 pet fee.

Vintage Shore Cottage

The Petite Retreat is a vintage shore house that takes visitors to a place of relaxation and great views. The garden yard and decking around the house provide a cozy and warm atomsphere and not to mention a great place to read or sunbath. The ocean view can be enjoyed from the deck and is especially nice in the evening when the sun is going down. The inside accomdations are reminiscent of beach houses along the northeast coast. The quaintness of the cottage still allows for modern conveniences, like the big screen T.V. our two teenagers enjoyed viewing. The cottage is in walking distance of the Dana Harbor were we enjoyed shopping and drinks. San Juan Capistrano is about a 5 minute drive and the town is still one of our favorites. Also, Anaheim and San Diego are not too far away and the cottage is a great home base to explore south orange county. We will never stay at a hotel again in Dana Point(Orange County), at Petite Retreat we felt like a guests in home at the shore.

Perfect Petite Retreat

We really enjoyed our October stay at the Petite Retreat! Your cottage was cozy, clean and comfortable and a great location for spending time in the Dana Point area. We walked several mornings to the harbor for breakfast and a stroll along the beachfront. We also appreciated your hospitality and timely response to our questions prior to arriving.

We'll definitely consider staying there again! It was a perfect "home" for us and so thankful it worked out to stay there. Thanks again, Dana.

Wonderful stay at the Petite Retreat

We spent 4 nights at the Petite Retreat and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation. The house was well kept, clean and exactly as pictured. The deck is large and it was very nice to be able to grill some meals and relax on the deck. It was my husband and I plus our 21 month old daughter. She still keeps asking us to take her back to the "beach house". There are great restaurants near by and it is a short drive to many great beaches. We also drove up to Laguna Beach one morning. I hope the opportunity presents itself that we can stay here again!

Loveliest spots...

This house is one of the loveliest spots we have ever stayed. Seriously, I wish we lived here. My favorite part is the wonderful feeling of privacy being so far from the street and the view (of course) and the quiet. Scott loved it so much too that we have been talking about moving to Dana Point.

Your love of the house shows everywhere, inside and out. You have thought of things I couldn't have imagined. We loved every minute here. We probably spent 1/2 of our stay just lounging in the house and on the deck! So cozy and comfy.

Thank you for your love of the house and your generous spirit. The world needs more people like you!
