26 Salmon Drive is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin situated on the Trinity River in the remote and beautiful historic mining town of Lewiston. Steelhead and salmon fishing right from the river bank of the property combined with the Bucktail drift boat access directly across the river makes this getaway the optimal location for fisherman and outdoor enthusiasts.
This cabin is nestled in the trees on the Trinity River with a quiet scenic view from the large covered porch, which we have found perfect for relaxing and grilling after a day on the river. Our property extends all the way to the river bank, across the river from Bucktail Hole. The house itself is set back about 100 yards from the river, a quick minute walk to have your feet in the water.
The house includes a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen complete with a new outdoor Weber gas grill. There is a dining table off the kitchen inside as well as a large dining table on the deck. This is a home away from home for us, so we try to keep all the typical cooking and dining essentials handy.
The master bedroom includes a new queen size bed as well as a twin size day bed. The second bedroom has two extra long twin beds which is plenty of room for two adults. If you find yourself needing additional sleeping accommodations, we have a king size aero bed available as well. Linens and bath towels are provided as well as starter paper products.
**NEW!! HD FLAT SCREEN!
The living room is conveniently adjacent to the kitchen and dining area with a 50' HD flat screen television with Direct TV. Free wireless internet. This house also has heating, air-conditioning, washer/dryer, and free long distance from the house phone. Smoke-free please and 'good' dogs welcome. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us any time.

This awesome cabin was perfectly equipped and located for our fishing weekend on the Trinity River. Less than a one minute walk from the cabin is a large stretch fishable water. Lewiston lake and the Town of Lewiston are a very short drive from the cabin. We loved the covered patio and bbq. We ran into a serious stretch of rain one day, and we were still able to bbq and hang out outside on the deck. The 50" TV was perfect for catching the game and watching movies. It was very nice to have free Wi-Fi and a land line too, because the cell reception in Lewiston is pretty bad. The Cabin was wonderfully comfortable, and I'm looking forward to hopefully coming back again.
My mom, husband, 7 year old son and I just stayed at this beautiful cabin for a week and I can't say enough about how wonderful it is! The home is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the entire layout of the place is brilliant. The deck is perfect for relaxing and watching the many deer that live in the area. We had temps reach to about 104 and the air conditioner was very powerful and a lifesaver. The river is beautiful and the home is in the perfect spot for a long day of fishing and tubing. The neighbors were all very very sweet and welcoming. We bbqd every night except for one night when we tried the pizza place down the rd, two brothers pizza I think it was called, and it was pretty darn good. The bar at the Lewiston hotel was a blast too. Lizzie thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us and being so sweet and easy to work with. We will definitely be back!
Very peaceful relaxing time. My husband and I went with another couple. While the guys went fishing we just relaxed. We took in a few walks, went for a drive into Weaverville, saw the old Museums. We went to the winery. Visited old Lewiston. Just a wonderful relaxing time. The house had really comfy beds and a Wonderful big screen T.V. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need and it was cozy and CLEAN!
My kids (ages 8 and 5), dog and I had an amazing stay in this house. The amenities were excellent and I would definitely return. Highlights in the area included innertubing and swimming in the Trinity Lake...and my daughter catching a 3 foot long 20 pound King Salmon in the Trinity River (near Lewiston) thanks to the incredible fishing guide (Scott Stratton of Trinity River Adventures). We had an awesome first stay in this area and will definitely return to this cabin again.
This home was perfect for our needs, nicely decorated, and close to fishing (1 minute walk to Bucktail hole on the Trinity, 3 minutes from Trinity Fly Shop, 5 minutes to Lewiston, 15 minutes to weaverville). Direct TV and free phone is a plus as there's no cell service. We had 10 deer grazing in the yard one morning and scenery is beautiful. I would stay here again, owners easy to deal with.
We celebrated our marriage of 30 years at this wonderful house on the Trinity River. The house is very clean, comfy, and well maintained. It is actually a lot bigger than it looks on the website photos. It was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Loved having the washer and dryer on site. We ate breakfast and dinner on the deck, watching the local wildlife and listening to the river rush by. During the day, we enjoyed the local fishing, hiking, museums, and other sightseeing in nearby Lewiston and Weaverville. We're planning a return trip soon.
