L’Ancienne Mairie is a 3 bedroom French holiday cottage let with stunning views, alfresco dining and a private sunbathing terrace and pool. Maison de Gardien is a luxury 2 bedroom Dordogne holiday cottage for rent with shared pool and terraces. This former gatekeeper's cottage was completely renovated in 2007. L’Arc en Ciel is a luxury 2 bedroom french gite with shared pool and terraces. The single storey property has one twin and one double bedroom both with en-suite.

This charming holiday cottage is light and airy and adjoins the Maison de Gardien with which it shares the pool and terrace which is enclosed by evergreen hedges with an impressive backdrop of the Chateau. To the side of this Dordogne holiday gite there is a new private enclosed terrace for dining al fresco or sunbathing with views over the Dordogne Valley.
The house is all on one level with tiled floors throughout and has a comfortably furnished open plan living area with French doors opening onto the terrace and garden. It has a well equipped kitchen and dining area.
There is one twin and one double bedroom each with its own en suite bathroom. Both bedrooms are prettily decorated with either French pine or painted furniture.
This holiday gite may be booked on its own or in conjunction with other properties at Les Milandes.
Our nearest village on the river with beach which has a very good little cafe/brasserie with outside terrace, butcher, baker, small supermarket and canoe rental. Overlooked by a magnificent Medieval Chateau which was occupied by the English during the Hundred Year’s war with museum of medieval weaponry which boys of all ages will love!
The village rises dramatically from the valley floor through narrow medieval streets to the Magnificent Chateau perched high on the cliffs with stunning views of the river and surrounding countryside. A good selection of shops, galleries/antiques restaurants and hotels and a great canoe stop.
One of the “plus belles villages de France” the village again rises from the valley floor rising up a magnificent rock face floodlit at night.Church, boat excursions, Chateau and a good choice of restaurants and shops.
One of the best preserved hilltop bastide towns with possibly the best view in the Dordogne and entered through one of three 13th century gateways. Truly beautiful, you stroll through streets unchanged over the centuries with rose fronted cottages and pretty squares where you can sit and watch the world go by.
Is our nearest town with the amenities that you would expect such as supermarkets, doctors, garages, maison de la presse and a wonderful market on Sunday. It has several cafes, some of which are worth a visit to step back in time as well as an excellent producer of foie gras, confit, rillettes and more local products.
Is capital of the Perigord Noir and stunning. It has been immaculately restored and you can wander through beautiful Medieval streets among fifteenth and sixteenth century houses constructed in mellow honey coloured stone and imagine you’ve been transported back in time. Enjoy a coffee or drink in the main square or visit one of the many contemporary shops.
A deposit of 25% of the total rental cost will be payable if the booking is made more than ten weeks before the booking is due to start. The balance is payable in full eight weeks before the start of the rental. A security deposit for any breakages or electricity (if due) of 15% of the rental cost or £100 whichever is the greater, will be added to the final payment. This will be repaid to you (less any breakages or costs) within a month of your return and refunded in the event of cancellation.
