Photos and Description of the Mont Tremblant vacation cabin rental - 3BR, 2BA, sleeps 6 - 8

Equipped rustique chalet available for weekly rentals in spring, summer and fall. This includes use of the 5,000 square foot (100 foot) lakefront private access. We are dog friendly (as long as they are with us and the owners' responsible). The land is located 7 km (~4 miles) from the north side access of the Mont Tremblant ski hill, 8 km (~5 miles) from the entrance to Mont Tremblant park with its own private lot on the pristine Lake Superior. There is fine dining, a general store with an SAQ (alcohol), video rentals, Post Office and petrol (gas pump) within walking distance. All this 150 km (90 miles) north of Montreal (Dorval / Trudeau Airport).

Located on the pristine and serene, Lake Superior (Lac Supérieur) in the Laurentien Mountains of Quebec, the domain is quiet and peaceful but either a walk or short drive to many amenities. The provincial park is up the road, there is fine dining in the Auberge across the street and various gastronomic pleasures nestled in and around the area, the general store is 500 metres (yards) up the road, and at least 6 villages are within 10 to 30 minutes away by car. In the winter, the north side, (much less busy) access to the latter's world-class ski resort is 7 km (4 miles) away 5 minutes by car. It is 20 kms (12 miles) from the domain, to the busy south side where the New Mont Tremblant Resort is located.

Notes: Washer & dryer in semi-basement of the 3 bedrooms chalets and may be shared. Two bedroom cabins are about 600 sq ft., 3 bedrooms are about 1,000 square feet. The verandas are large and covered The view from the domain is of the lake and mountains including parts of Mont Tremblant. All cabins have fireplaces or wood-burning stoves. We are dog friendly but expect them to be under control and the owners pick-up after them. Smoking is not permitted in the cabins but out on the balcony is fine as long as ashtrays are used and the butts are disposed of safely. There is a water source on the property so no need to bring bottled water. On the contrary, the natural spring water is excellent and probably better than anything that is sold in bottles, certainly better than city tap water.

Golf : There are many golf courses within a 30 minute drive, some are very reasonable and still quite good, some are world class. They all have beautiful views. The municipality has an outside hockey rink which serves as a volleyball court or a makeshift tennis court in the summer. For real tennis courts, a drive to the south side of the mountain is required.

Lake access: The domain has its own private lake access per the photo. It's good for swimming.

Ski: The world class Mont Tremblant resort has a less used north side access, with typically, morning lift lines of a fraction of those on the popular south side. It's about a 10 minute drive away. For a less expensive and expansive skiing experience, Mont Blanc 12 kms (~7 miles) down the road at the 117 turn-off for the Lac Supérieur road, is a decent and very reasonable ski hill. Just a bit further away is Grey Rocks which is in the same league as Mont Blanc.
