SPACIOUS 7 BR PET FRIENDLY HOME WITH PRIVATE POOL, HOT TUB, AND PIRATE SHIP

This was the first time I had planned a family vacation for my extended family. The stakes were somewhat high as my In-Laws would be travelling from the West Coast to be here. Everyone was very impressed as even with the rather large number of small children (My two kids + my sister's four kids - all are under 7) there was ample space and it was obvious that the owners went out of their way to make sure the house was adequate at not only housing, but entertaining both small kids and adults. We also had Thanksgiving dinner at the house and the kitchen was stocked well enough to make and eat the meal without needed to bring cooking utensils from home. We used to Marina to launch our small fishing boat (free of charge) and we snagged a few nice sea trout from underneath the 158 bridge. We also collected and ate at least a bushel of the best (and largest) oysters I've ever eaten (Raw, Steamed, Grilled and Baked). We got those from down near the Oregon Inlet when the weather turned too sour to continue gigging for flounder. The house even had an oyster knife. My in-laws commented at how thoughtful the owners had been at furnishing the house and the amenities that were included. We're currently discussing coming back to stay in the Summer. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. My sister commented that she would be willing to pay twice the price asked in retrospect to do it again... and she's the cheapest person I know. Did I mention the location is perfect? It's out of the commercial area but close enough to Harris Teeter and Wal-Mart to grab stuff right before dinner. Duck is only a few miles up the road and is a very neat little town with a great vibe. 5 Stars for sure.
