The 'Havannah Daydreamin'' is located on the ocean side of Plum Island directly across from a beach access. This particular area of beach is very quiet because there is no public parking nearby. The cottage has a three season porch to sit and relax after a long day at the beach. It is also equipped with an outdoor temp controlled shower (in addition to the full bath w/ shower inside the house). All linens included. There is parking for about four cars.

With some of the finest beaches North of Cape Cod, Plum Island is the home to the Parker River National Wild Life Refuge, 4600 acres of pristine beach, salt marshes & meadows. Plum Island is 3 miles from historic Newburyport which is filled with every imaginable flavor of restaurants and shops. There is Taxi service to and from Plum Island (appx. $6.00 each way) and also a bus shuttle (appx. 50) Tax free New Hampshire is just a few miles away. Within walking distance to this cottage is The Captain's Lady Fishing Fleet, Mad Martha's Cafe (breakfast lunch & dinner), Dick's Variety, Mr. Moe's Package Store, Surfland Bait and Tackle, Angie's Service Station, Plum Island Grille, Jeanne's Place etc... and not to mention your virtually private beach about 60 seconds from your front porch. The Plum Island Airport is on the causeway leading to the Island if you wish to take a Plane tour of the area or maybe fly in on your own plane. (We're still waiting for Jimmy Buffett to make an appearance)

This sweet cottage has everything one could possibly want for a beach getaway, including all the amenities, kind, helpful owners, and an unbelievable location. With a restaurant/convenience/pizza store and the beach literally right across the street, you are set. The porch is a nice spot to unwind and hang out with family or friends, there is ample parking, all is clean and cozy. And for those who are not completely comfortable disengaging with the rest of the world, there is high speed internet access.

We had a wonderful family vacation at "Havannah Daydreamin" - which was also renamed "The Manatee House" by our small children. The house was clean, well equipped and had an excellent location. The beach is seconds away - it's clean, quiet and perfect for families. It's also great for kite-flying!

The house was perfect for what we needed - two bedrooms, one for my wife and I and one for our 1-year-old twins (and yes, you can fit two pack-and-plays in the 2nd bedroom with some strategic moving of furniture). Location is perfect! Literally a 30-45 second walk to the beautiful beach. A five minute walk to a great little breakfast joint. And right behind the house are webs of streets with adorable little houses with some excellent views of the basins. All told, very walkable and pleasant. The only negatives are that the cleaners could have done a slightly better job, but it's a very small complaint - we highly recommend this house.
Owner's Response: Out of all the compliments I have received from my weekly tenants over the past three years, one of the top responses is the meticulous cleanliness, inside and out, of the house. There is a hired cleaning crew there every Saturday from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm and afterwards it is personally inspected by myself.

Great Getaway!

The house was very clean and well maintained....the description is very accurate. We also appreciated the prompt responses via e-mail and phone from the owners. Overall, the house was great...easy to access the beach (however we ended up using the Sandy Point beach in the refuge a bit more due to the drop off in the water at the beach across from the house...tough with small kids!)
Bob Lobser was great and parking and shopping in town was fun and easy to get to!
LOVE the manatee mailbox!
