JB's Lake House is on Sleepy Hollow Lake in Athens, NY. Recently professionally painted and carpeted, this exceptionally well appointed lakehouse has open and inviting floor plan with vaulted ceiling great room, furnished kitchen and dining room. The spacious master suite with king bed has a jacuzzi tub and walk-in in closet. The loft is great for kids with 3 double beds and their own TV. The large wrap around deck provides a great view of the lake and the 80' of waterfront with beach and swim dock. The large, gently sloping yards provide a large play area and an easy walk to the lake. We have ample seating on the deck plus 4 chaise lounges, hammock and picnic table right by the water. The unfinished, walk-out basement has a washer and dryer plus storage of the many water toys provided to our guests. One of the community's pools, tennis courts, and play areas are just a 10 minute walk from the house.

Wonderful Vacation Home

If your looking for total peace and relaxation you'll find it in this wonderful vacation home. The home itself is in top shape with very comfortable furnishings and really had everything you could think of. Great deck overlooking a beautiful yard that goes down to the lake. Beds were more comfortable then our own home.
The lake is perfect size and great for boating. Loved the Kayak.
The location was terrific as it was only an hour to Saratoga and a ride through the Catskills was alot of fun. You would not be disappointed in this home.

Home was very clean and well-maintained. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. We rented this home, despite higher cost, because it was advertised as lakefront with boating access. When we arrived someone in the community immediately reported us for having unauthorized boats (although posted criteria for community was met), homeowners were unable/unwilling to facilitate recommended fix by community association. The result was we had to haul our boat outside community anytime we wanted to sail, my father (in ailing health) was unable to watch his grandchildren learn to sail due to limited access of available area facilities. It changed the entire focus and tone of our vacation.

Eight years ago we found this lakefront rental by doing an Internet search, took a chance, and this has turned into our yearly family vacation. You couldn't ask for better hosts--everything has been perfect every time we visit. The house itself is beautiful, well-appointed and immaculate. It has all the comforts of home and is very family-friendly. We spend most of our time lakeside where the kids (and adults) swim and fish all day. Whether you are in the house, on the deck, or at the lake, the views are spectacular. It is the perfect vacation spot. You couldn't ask for anything more.
