We built this house and have used it as our second home. The kids are keeping us busy with activities and we decided to rent our home. We still use the home and you will find that this is not a worn down rental property. Details and information can found at our website. Please click on the link below.
The setting is very private with 154' of lake frontage on a deep cove just off the main channel at buoy T-64. The lot is over 1 acre and covered with large mature hardwoods. You will see 4-6 deer everyday in our yard.
The cove is about 400' long and we are the only dock in the cove, so it is safe to swim and play. The cove is very private and has water year round. The dock is a covered slip dock 28 X 18 with a 60' arched walkway with rails. Always deep water to tied up you boat. We have 2 Kayaks on the dock that you can use to explore the lake.
The upscaleneighborhood includes paved roads and underground utilities and most of the neighbors live there full time. The neighborhood is located just 1 mile from the entrance to Tugaloo State Park. The park offers camping, amphitheater, beach, tennis, playgrounds, putt putt, miles of nature trails, and boat ramps.

We have two dogs and they love the lake.
Rodney Smith purchased this house in 2000
Peace and quiet of the woods and the excitement of the lake and activities.
Close to Tugaloo State Park 1.2 miles driveway to entrence. Large private lot with trees and deer.
Just wanted to let you know that we were so pleased with your lake house and could not have had a better time. The house is beautiful, the surroundings were so peaceful and my oldest daughter and I were thrilled with how well the kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils!
Thank you for your hospitality.
We spent a week at this lovely lake house. There was plenty of room for our group of four adults, a tween, and a toddler. The home was laid out perfectly, with ample seating, and we all had room to spread out. The fireplace was perfect for the chilly December weather, and we used it nearly every day! The kitchen was well stocked, with lots of dishes and flatware. Some of the pans were old and no longer "non-stick", but that is pretty average for rentals. I'm glad that we packed baby gates for the loft and deck staircases, but otherwise, the house is quite child friendly. We saw deer in the front yard daily, sometimes several times per day. Lots of birds and squirrels, too!
It was too cold for boating, so we didn't really need to use the walkway to the lake. As others said, the walkway is steep, but it isn't too bad, and it sure beats climbing up an unimproved hill! (Or worse, having no water access at all!)
Tugaloo State Park was a gem - just a few minutes away, and nearly empty in the winter. Our kids had the playground to themselves! If you visit, don't forget $5 cash for parking. Great golf in the area, too, even off-season.
Thanks again for a lovely stay!
We just returned from a week long stay at this lake house. My wife and I brought our two boys and invited my parents up from Florida. We loved sitting on the back porch at night just talking and my boys loved swimming in the cove and feeding the fish. Great property for our two dogs who loved seeing all the deer. We brought our boat and with the state park just down the road, there is easy in and out access. We didn't realize it was a bit of a walk to the lake but the wood path made this much easier and we needed the exercise anyway! Now I just need to convince my wife we need a lake house near us.
Great lake vacation spot, lovely house and a small cove for swimming. Great place for dog lovers!
We rented the house for a week. It is a beautiful home. Well decorated and kept up. There were many nice afterthoughts and conveniences such as extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, plenty of kitchen and dining utensils, dish soap, laundry soap extra blankets, and life jackets for adults and kids. While we were there the owner stopped by and introduced himself and asked if we needed anything else while he was doing some weed maintenance in the front yard. Also a man from pest control came by to spray for bugs, which was good to know that such service was being kept up. We brought 2 kayaks but two more were provided, which we used, and were in great shape. The fishing/swimming boat dock was in good shape and was used daily for water play/ access. It even has a motion activated flood light which came in handy when we came back from boating after dark. Wi/Fi worked great and came in handy for researching the area or accessing the web in between activities. The house is plenty big enough so that you aren't always on top of each other but still able to enjoy the experience and the company. The back patio is huge and great for hanging out on and we even cooked on the working gas grill. We felt very "at-home" in this house. Areas of improvement for me are few. The walk down to the dock from the house is not easy for everyone. It's a steep grade with lots of steps and a fair distance. Not the owner's fault but I would probably mention it in the ad. Someone with mobility issues or advanced age would probably have some problems with it. Almost all of the corners in the house had cobwebs in them. The house in general was very clean, but a duster with an extension on it for the cleaning person would be an easy fix. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone and we would stay again for sure.
My family rented this lovely waterfront home. The rental pictures displayed everything perfectly, and the home was clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend this to other travelers and hope we can come again soon!
The votes are in: We all agreed that this is the perfect home for our bead retreats! A great time was had by all spending the entire weekend at the house: cooking and eating, beading, knitting, crocheting. There was plenty of room for us not to get into each others way, yet enjoy our time together. The deck was perfect for those wanting to "sun" or just sit and enjoy the weather- we even weathered the pollen! This was our fourth retreat and we all agreed that we would return to the Lake House for our next one. Thank you from all of us!
