A wonderful modern home located on the shore of Thomas Pond. Relax on the deck just steps from the pristine pond or layout on the private dock. This southern facing home is surrounded by tall pines affording lakefront sun or shade. We rented lakefront for years before buying our dream lake house. Open the windows for a fresh lake breeze or shut them and enjoy the central air. After swimming, fishing (some of the best) or power boating, walk to the local winery for daily tasting. The 1st floor offers a large, open floor plan. It includes a fully equipped modern kitchen, a large dining room and over-sized living room area, 1 full bath and laundry area. The front of this home boasts a 'wall of glass' that overlooks the large deck, dock and lake. The 2nd floor has 4 bedrooms and a large full bath with double vanity. Thomas Pond is located just 30 min. to Portland, 20 min. to Shawnee Peak Ski Resort, 50 min. to Sunday River & 40 min. to great outlet shopping in North Conway, NH.

Located in the beautiful Sebago Lakes Region in Western Maine, Thomas Pond remains a treasure unto itself. Although smaller than its giant neighbor, Sebago Lake, Thomas Pond is large enough to provide great boating and fishing. Thomas Pond presents a more relaxed mood and more serene experience. Located close to a local winery, wonderful local restaurants, amusement parks, downtown Naples, shopping, and the attractions in Portland, this area has something for everyone. It also offers canoeing, beautiful hiking and fantastic cycling opportunities. We stay for a week and feel relaxed for weeks afterward.

Community: Thomas Pond is located less than 10 miles from Long Lake and Tricky Pond in Naples, Maine and just a few miles from Sebago State Park. It is in the heart of the Lakes Region of Maine. Our community is a small one with most residents living there year round. There is basically one road that winds around the lake with homes on the lake side, and homes across the street. Ours sits on the lake side. It is a very nice area; very relaxed. During the week there is very little boat traffic on the lake. Weekends are busier but by no means 'busy'. You should feel comfortable swimming at any time and don't have to worry about huge, noisy boats going by all the time. Because of its smaller size Thomas Pond warms quickly in the Spring and is comfortable for swimming sooner than most lakes in the area.

Ski: Big, beautiful and located just 25 minutes from our lakeside home, one hour from Portland and 20 minutes east of North Conway. Shawnee Peak offers more than 40 trails 19 lit for night skiing, four gladed areas of all ability levels, two terrain parks, a 400' halfpipe, five lifts, 98 percent snowmaking and an unprecedented big-mountain experience combined with small-town friendliness and value. Night skiiing is just $23 - $20!

Other Activities: Great location summer, fall & winter; there is something for everybody here!

This is a delightful, clean, bright, comfortable, updated home tucked in the woods on a pretty little lake in Maine. It is quiet and feels private. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, roasting marshmallows in the firepit and grilling the lobsters that we caught on a working lobster boat out of Portland. Freeport and Portland are within easy driving distance to the East if you are looking for a little excitement and there is great hiking to the West. If you are looking for a quiet Maine getaway, this house is much nicer than many I have seen in the area.
Owner's Response: We'd love to have you come stay with us here in the beautiful lakes region of Maine. Many of our guests, like this one, have come back year after year. Summer and winter are both wonderful and offer a myriad of activities. The glorious days of summer are short here and must be savored. Winter, though, offers great snowmobiling, skiing and showshoing activities very close to us. Come and enjoy!

Beautiful Summer Cottage!

My family and I have stayed at this home for the past 4 summers. The property is always improving. The owners of this home take very good care it. In addition to the wonderful lake, there are many things to do in the area. We are avid cyclists and the roads are wonderful for riding. We plan to return year after year!

We loved this new renovated House! It was very comfortable for us (four persons) and has everything what you need for a relaxed vacation time - we can recommend it in every case! The owners Tracy & Dave are very nice + helpful - the payment and all formalities without any problems. Only a second boat or a boat for two would be great for the next time...:-)

The house was beautiful ( JUST AS DESCRIBED). It had all the conveniences of home. We loved Brays restaurant and the wine tasting.Only caught little fish ( my grandsons first! ) The only thing I would have liked is a two man boat. I would recommend this house to anyone.
