Quite simply there is nowhere like it in Israel - or anywhere else!
Set at the edge of a working agricultural village, where the main crop is mangoes (no smelly animals but beef cows and horses in the fields around) we enjoy clear views over the Sea of Galilee to the South, Mount Hermon to the north, the Golan heights to the east and the entire River Jordan valley. Excellent communications - Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport a comfortable 2 hours, Rosh Pina ( with local airport - direct 30 minute flights to Tel Aviv) 12 minutes, Tiberius 20 minutes.
When here we never want leave - or need to. There is even a general store five minutes walk from our home which stocks most everything you need. Wonderful friendly English speaking neighbours, its safe for children to run around, beautiful child safe pool, shade giving trees, ample terraces and garden so there is always shade and sun, no steps, comfortable spacious house built and equipped to the highest quality for discerning families.
If beauty, quality, tranquility & privacy are your requirements, look no further. Designed and built to the highest standards, Almagor is the most luxurious villa with 5 bedrooms, an expansive pool, beautiful gardens and exquisite views to all side. to make the most of its exceptional position, enjoying uninterrupted views of the Sea of Galilee, the River Jordan, Golan Heights and Mount Hermon.
Almagor is an attractive working moshav (agricultural village) of some 120 families whose extensive mango fields descend to the shores of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) into which the Jordan River flows from the north. The village has its own general store and clinic with resident nurse and doctor on call.
If you can ever tear yourself away from the house, its pool and the views, then just along the lake, within comfortable walking distance, are to be found Capernaum, with its well preserved ancient synagogue where Jesus preached, the Church of the Loaves and the Fishes with its famous Byzantine mosaics and the Mount of Beatitudes. These may also be visited on horseback from nearby Vered Hagalil Guest Ranch and Restaurant.
There are numerous attractions within a 30 minute car drive that are too numerous to list but highlights include: kayaking on the R Jordan, jeep excursions, the cobbled streets, restaurants, pubs, galleries, cinematheque and shopping centre of Rosh Pina, (the 'St Pau de Venice ') of Galilee, the world renowned Hula Bird Sanctuary and Nature Reserve, the ancient synagogues of Safed, boat trips across the Kinneret to the St Peters Fish Restaurant at Ein Gev and the hot springs at Hamet Gader, the concert hall at beit Gavriel, Tiberius, the award winning Yarden, Dalton and Galil and numerous other boutique wineries of the Golan and Upper Galilee - and much much more.
