Charming 3-bedroom Lakefront Cottage: Ideally situated for lake enthusiasts but also offers many other attractions: for golfers, there are 4 public golf courses located within 8 miles (49 are within a 25-mile radius); for shoppers and movie-goers, there are several area cinemas, malls, antique shops, and other specialty shops; for car and plane enthusiasts -- an Air museum, Gilmore Classic Car Museum, and US 131 Motorsports Park; and for gardeners and nature lovers, there are several botanical gardens and nature centers, including the Kalamazoo Nature Center and Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. The property is located within 10 miles of the Gun Lake Casino. Conveniently located within 30 miles or less from Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids airports. Strict no-pet, no smoking policy. Cottage is suitable for up to 6 people.

Great Place for relaxing vacation

My husband and two teenage girls had a wonderful relaxing week staying here. The porch affords lovely views, the paddle boat and kayaks were easily accessible, and the cottage is well stocked for cooking. I especially liked the birds in the area - two swans swam by every morning, we saw great blue herons and sand hill cranes too. My daughter is a runner, and she was able to run in a 7 mile loop on the roads around the lake. We also caught a lot of olympic coverage as there is a tv with satellite.
We enjoyed going to Kalamazoo for a visit to Kalamazoo College and a trip to one of our favorite breweries - Bells. The food at Bells was surprisingly good. We also went to Oval beach on Lake Michigan one day. It is a great beach.
All in all -- a relaxing stay.

Our family enjoyed our week stay in July at your clean, well kept home. We were delightfully surprised by the well stocked kitchen and loved entertaining on the deck.
The paddle boat and kayak were a welcome addition too. We also liked that it was close to many other sights in the area, including Lake MI state parks which were within an hours drive. Access to the beach was especially important because of the intense heat during our week's stay.
Loved having an air-conditioner in one bedroom and ceiling fans throughout the home.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

What a beautiful cottage and a beautiful setting. My family and I have been vacationing in Michigan for years and have found our favorite spot! We have two teenage children and found your place to offer the best of everything. First, we had a beautiful home with plenty of room. My husband and I could relax, read, and cook (my husband is the chef)- while peering out over the water watching the quiet fisherman and even swans; and the kids could watch a movie, fish off the dock and go into Kalamazoo to Starbucks or a show. We also had a lot of family fun like picking blueberries and making a pie, playing a lot of games and swimming on a lake Michigan beach. Don't miss the Meijer Sculpture Garden in Grand Rapids - it was fabulous!

Comfy and cozy just like home. The view is spectacular so be sure to bring your camera. The owners were wonderful to work with. The updates (not pictured) are pleasant. Far enough away for secluded relaxation (not overly developed), yet close enough to any left behind necessities (surrounding towns). We enjoyed taking our boat. The lake level is higher than normal this year. Saugatuck, St. Joseph and Warren Dunes for good day trips. The "Island City" is nearby so enjoy the locality. It is quaint with a good ice cream shop (Dean's) near a park for the kids. Be sure to try the Chicken Coop - great chicken and fish. The Upper Crust restaurant has good pizza. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great cottage for a peaceful vacation

This cottage by far exceeded my expectations...it was clean, cozy, very well maintained, and provided all the comforts of home. The owners were very accomodating and easy to work with. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the setting is very quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this cabin.
