I arranged to rent this apartment late August 2012, however, when I arrived the whole floor was under construction. The hallway ceilings were completely taken down, there were boards all over the floors in the halls, there were workmen directly outside the door. It was very dusty and noisy. I wouuld recommend any potential renters to have the owner verify that this construction is complete before renting this unit.
The unit itself is essentially a hotel room, it is very dated, the furniture is old and stained, however, for the location you cannot beat the price and the building although older is nice enough.
Even with the problems I had, the owner was VERY EASY to work with. When I indicated my discomfort with the amount of construction and my desire to stay elsewhere, the owner took my calls, worked with me, and refunded my payment promptly. If this type of accommodation suits you, I would not hesitate to recommend working with this property and this owner.

Owner's Response: I deeply apologize to Robin for the ongoing works at the halls of our floor (redoing the drop down ceiling). Obviously, the work was more intense at the moment of her arrival. She did not want the apartment and left, we refunded all she had paid us. My thanks to her for leaving the place untouched, it did not needed to be cleaned again. We expect the works to be finished soon.
