The Chalet features wood beamed ceilings, paneled walls on the mail floor, three balconies, and a fireplace as the centerpiece of the family room. The Chalet is the perfect place for your summer or winter Northern Michigan getaway!

The Beulah Chalet has room enough for a multi-family vacation, sleeping 10 in four bedrooms with queen size beds and one set of bunk beds, and as many as six more in the built in bunk beds. One of three full bathrooms with shower or shower/tub is located on each floor.

The dining room table provides seating for an additional 6 - 8. Two full size Weber grills with charcoal, lighter, and tools are ready to prepare the feast that doesn't belong in the oven. The pantry is stocked with spices, seasonings, oils and vinegars as well as all the other things you'll need to make every perfect meal.

A huge raised deck overlooks a beautiful meadow - deer and turkey can often be seen, and the bird feeder (seed provided) invites lots of birds. The family room with fireplace and upstairs sitting area provide a relaxing place to read, watch HD TV, and visit. The kids will love the built in bunk beds in the 'bunk room' as well as the bunk beds built around the chimney on the third floor.

The Beulah Chalet is one block North of Crystal Lake, 2 ½ miles South of the Big Platte Lake, 6 minutes to downtown Beulah, 10 Minutes to Lake Michigan, and 20 minutes to Frankfort. Sleeping Bear Dunes is an easy 20 minute drive North. Several vineyards and wineries are within an easy drive. The Crystal Mountain Ski and Golf resort is 20 minutes away. About The Owner

We started fishing for Steelhead and Salmon over 20 years ago and fell in love with the Northwest corner of Michigan for fishing and for family trips to see the colors in the fall. Our family and friends have come to love the Chalet as the perfect get away for any season. I hope you will, too.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005
Why The Owner chose Beulah

The Chalet is located in the middle of where you want to be when you travel to Northwest Michigan. It's a block off Crystal Lake, it's 6 minutes to Beulah, 15 minutes to Lake Michigan, 20 minutes to Crystal Mountain, 25 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the great towns on Leelenau Peninsula, and 40 minutes to Traverse City. Two fishing and canoeing rivers, the Platte and the Betzie, are very close. Frankfort has an A&W, a family favorite, and many other attractions.

What makes this house unique

The Chalet has lots of room and the comforts of your own home to spread out for a very relaxing vacation. It's well equiped with all the kitchen and grilling supplies you need to craft a gourmet dinner or a casual meal. The large deck overlooks a beautiful meadow - if you're lucky the deer and turkeys will pay you a visit!

Beulah family fun

5 of 5
Submitted: July 27, 2012 Stayed: July 2012
This is such a fun and comfortable house, and the owners have furnished it so nicely, it felt more like staying with friends than a rental. The style and floor plan are very unique, kind of euro/retro/chic, lots of decks, very private and quiet setting. We are a family group of 8 adults and 8 teens, and stayed for a week in mid-July 2012. There are lots of convenient closets and shelves, enough bedding, pillows, towels for several houses, and the kitchen/pantry supplies defy adequate praise. We left the windows open on the upper floors all day and night and enjoyed the fresh air.

Great location, we went to Manistee, Traverse City, Frankfort and took multiple trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, all 30 minute drives or less. Beulah, a cool little town, and the city beach on Crystal Lake are 5 minutes down the road. There is a boat rental marina on Crystal Lake about 2 miles from the house. Benzonia and Honor are about 6 or 7 miles away, groceries and restaurants are convenient in all these small towns. We rode bikes from Beulah to Lake Michigan at Frankfort and back on the trail, which runs along Crystal Lake and through the woods.

The VRBO listing and photos are accurate, the house is very clean and well-maintained. Chris sent a nice set of instructions before we left home and we had no problems whatsoever. We watched deer in the meadow daily. A black squirrel and several entertaining crows apparently live nearby. We cooked smores over a campfire in the backyard, the firewood and fire ring were ready for use. In short, our family had a fabulous time at the Beulah Chalet. Some teens might think they are a little old to appreciate the bunk beds upstairs, but ours had so much fun talking and playing games late into the night, there were no complaints. We all agreed that we would love to stay here again.

Excellent Place!

Just came back …. Rented house for 4 of July weekend, got there on the 1st, and right away got in love with the scenery. The Chalet is hidden in the woods; it is so quiet and beautiful….
We were a group of 16, and have enough beds for everybody. Two kitchens, makes it easier when you travel with kids, we used both. Kids loved the build in bunk beds that was their private hideaway place from adults. The house is filled with more than enough pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, and even with all the spices in the kitchen, are ready for you to use.
Amazing!!!! Loved it!!! Without any doubt would rent it again.

The Perfect Place to stay!

5 of 5
Submitted: January 5, 2011 Stayed: December 2010
Just stayed in this house last weekend with three other families to enjoy skiing on Crystal Mountain and the house was perfect. The kids (ages 11 to 17) all loved the built in bunk beds. The bedrooms were so nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. I absolutely love the antiques and all the woodwork in the house. They provide you with more than enough towels, pillows, sheets, etc. I was amazed by all the kitchen ware, spices, and everything you need to cook up a meal. We had 17 people in our group and this place was PERFECT! We absolutely loved it and would rent it again.
