Condo, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Our guest condo is located on the Isle of Venice, just off Las Olas Boulevard. The Caravelle property is small and quiet,well-maintained with a parking space just out front.

No stairs to climb. Well-stocked kitchen. Oriental rugs and comfy furnishings throughout - large windows and great views. King size bed, writing desk and great storage. Flat screen TV's in both the LR and BR.

UNIQUE in our property, is a 'very' private patio just off the kitchen. It sits on the edge of the canal and is a perfect spot for dining, reading or just enjoying the sparkling water and watching the Kayaks and paddle board folks go by. No stress here! A ceiling fan and overhang make for comfort day round.

The courtyard pool is heated. There is a grill (gas shared poolside). 2 bikes are furnished. Walk or bike easily to the beach or the shops/restaurants of Las Olas. This property is not appropriate for children.

About The Owner

We are active Seniors and live year round in a nearby condo to this one. Our interest includes travel, boating, Model A club, (.Here I am with my 1931 Victoria), We play American 6 wicket croquet and so enjoy many friends and great family. We still are active in two Thai restaurants that are located in Durham and Wake Forest, NC

The Owner purchased this condo in 1991
Why The Owner chose Fort Lauderdale

Love the weather year round and love the diversity here in Fort Lauderdale. There are so many fun activities and the water...amazing. There is a reason they call Fort Lauderdale the Venice of America. A great stopping off point for your cruise that originates or ends here.

This was our get-a-way property prior to moving here full time in 2006.

What makes this condo unique

Relax, take in the Ocean air and breathe deep. Our property is quiet and very special. Ground level location and a private terrace awaits you. Walk to the beach or to the shops and restaurants of Las Olas. Well furnished with an especially complete kitchen.

We Had the pleasure of staying at Caravelle from Oct-Dec. The condo had everything you could want extremely comfortable, the kitchen had every utensil you could think of. The balcony over looking the canal was a delight.
From the condo we walked each day, in the morning down Las Olas for coffee at our favourite bakery then after lunch a walk to the beach. We could also get the hop on hop off trolley at the end of the street to the Mall for a $1.
It truly is a great place to stay thankyou Carolyn and Harry we will see you next year

Perfect vacation getaway!

My husband and I were looking for an ideally located vacation rental, and this was perfect! Easy access to the beach and to the shops, restaurants, and highway. Quick to get to airport. Condo is airy and cozy, but most importantly, it was clean. The kitchen appears small in the picture, but we thought it was great for fixing a quick lunch or making a filling dinner. We appreciated the use of the bikes, beach chairs, and patio. My husband got a kick out of seeing the lizards lounge poolside and the crabs poking their heads out of the ground!
Our hosts, Carolyn and Harry, greeted us at the door and gave us a tour. They were very warm and hospitable.
Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation! It was difficult to say goodbye, but we look forward to making another trip in the next year!
We would recommend this property to any couple looking for a peaceful place to stay near the beach!

We've spend 2 amazing holidays (mid April '08 & November '09) at the Caravelle and we can just recommend it further. Carolyn and Harry are great hosts and are always aimed to make your stay unforgetable. The condo is well kept, fully equiped with everything you need and the terrace is great to lay back and chill out while viewing the canal! It definitly convinced us to come back. Also the location is great to do any kind of outdoor activities. If it is a day trip to the Everglades or Miami, cruises along the ocean drive by bike or if you just want to go shopping and go for a great meal, everything is possible and your host are more then happy to assist. Thank you for making our stay always a stay to remember and we will definitely come back.

Wow! was our first impression, the pictures do not do it justice, a splendid apartment with wonderful views and a relaxing terrace, just right to enjoy a nice glass of wine.
Caroline provides everything you can wish for, my favourite were the beach chairs, what a lovely touch.
Apartment within walking distance of the beach and restauants, so nice to have a walk in the evening.
